No  matter. Whispers on Twitter says the deal is done but he won't feature in tomorrow's game.

Interestingly, he also said our enquiry about Fonte was just a ruse to get a deal moving for Lescott again.

The thing is this so called B-grade player is struggling to get into the A-team because of Neymar and Pedro. I think we deserve to get a bit excited if he signs.

I'm sure Arsenal fans could have said the same about Viera!!.. who couldn't get into a quality Milan side. Adama isn't 25...we're buying potential and how many 19 year olds are gonna play for Barcelona right now? I think the lad might be a revelation for us tbh.

Was hoping to wake this morning to see him ITSOTP. I hope I haven't put the kibosh on the deal by finally relenting and watching his highlights video

This is a chap who is awsome at youth team/reserve level - where his size helps him to bulldose his way past young players - but Barcelona have decided he will not make it at senior level (for them at least).

He seems to have one way of playing and, once teams have sussed him out, is easy to nullify. Hence, his progress has been stunted.

He is worth a shot, but Tim and co will need to get him to look at other ways of playing. He needs to give opposition teams something else to think about, other than just running at them and, often, into the 'brick walls' they put in front of him.

Fingers crossed we can get his best, and some more, out of him. But I won't be looking at him as a 'next level' player. Not just for now, in any case.

Barcelona have spent a fortune on "Galactico" players which puts a block on bringing very talented young players through. I'm fairly sure they don't want to sell Adama Traore, but their superb world class players have to be played at the expense of Adama's development. Even huge clubs can only have eleven players on the pitch at one time!

Welcome Adama, if Barca really thought he was never going to be good enough for their first team then IMO there would be no buyback clause, but this little bit of security for Barca tells me they're undecided on his potential so ship him out now as he's never going to dislodge their world class players whilst he gets first team football they can keep an eye on his progress in the best league in the world (supposedly).

Is this the first time we've ever signed a player from Barcelona?
