Was Timmy at the game last night or was he off buying our new 20 goals a season man?

Me too and I agree completely. I'd like to see him, Gil and Grealish all play together. The only possible downside being Grealish and Gil are both fairly lightweight, we don't really want to lose them both at the same time. Gil went out of pre-season after someone trod on him in what looked like a relatively normal challenge the opposition player wouldn't have even tried to pull on someone like Gabby.

Re: Adama Traore
I like Grealish and Gil but I don't think we can play both at the same time. Traore and Gil/Grealish either side of Gestede with Vertout more advanced in a 3 with Westy/Sanchez and Gueye.
I'm still thinking Vertout will be our best midfielder once up to speed. And that formation would mean an easy switch to 2 up top with Traore and Gil/Grealish as wingers if needed, Vertout off and Sinclair/other striker on

I agree I think it will be an either/or situation with Gill and Grealish, although he did play Nzog and Grealish against Liverpool in the cup final, so who knows? Nice to have choices though right? Traore looks like a real menace, lightening quick. We Defo don't need Gabby now if it's just the pace we use him for.
Good times

Re: Adama Traore
I'll be interested to see if Grealish is as lightweight as he was last season. Despite being quite lanky looking, he doesn't miss leg-day at the gym, that's for sure. Even if he hasn't bulked up his upper body, he'll have learnt a lot about what to expect from last season and I expect he'll use that experience this year.
Sinclair isn't exactly a hatchet man, so I can see them being interchangeable if one isn't performing.

Re: Adama Traore
There's an option that Adama could potentially be used as a second striker, possibly just off Gestede. He seems to have the attributes, may provide the link between the midfield and attack and the much needed firepower. Either way Adama and Grealish may be given the freedom to play and with support from the pivot midfield of Gana and Veretout, hopefully one of the two will be able to provide an extra man with late runs into the box whilst the other provides defensive stability against the counter.
Options options options... It's all good!

It's kinda nice that all 3 were in a position where they were having to play that game together. Their joint inclusion to the 1st team will throw a different shape on the team.

New signing will need time to settle says Tim Sherwood

Tim Sherwood has cooled Aston Villa fans’ excitement over new signing Adama Traore by claiming he is not fit.
He admitted: “Adama looked very short of fitness to me. He is going to need the exercise to get himself up to speed.
“I don’t expect too much too soon, he is a player who is developing.
“We are hoping he is something for us immediately but I don’t think we should be putting too much pressure on him.”

And Pardew too busy doing his make up to notice he's on.
Laying 6-4 ...Pardew's mascara running down his cheek at half time when they 3 nil down.
