Re: Aston Villa v Birmingham City
It's not on regular TV here nor satellite so I've had to get a BeIN SPORTS subscription but that's ok because their website says they can stream to your tv via AirPlay. But they lied. Bastards!
Never mind, here's how it's going to go...
Blues will go 1-0 up in the first ten minutes.
We will equaliser almost immediately and score again on the stroke of half time.
Amavi will get baited and sent off on 60 minutes throwing Tactics Tim into a right state.
Blues will hit the bar from a corner with 2 minutes to go giving everyone a heart attack.
Referee blows the whistle.
Shit on the City.

Villa win. Whatever scoreline it has to be, we win.
Just like that bloke in V for Vendetta - "Villa prevails!"

3-1 Villa
Lets give it to the blouse - right up 'em - they don't like it up em.
Corporal Jones was a Villa fan - he was always on about fighting the Zulus ha ha.
(Actually Private Pike - Ian Lavender - really was - that claret & blue scarf round his neck in Dad's army was Ian's real Villa scarf - fact!)
Anyway - message to trotters - don't worry about missing the game - there's always Cricfree if you want to pikey a stream

I've actually got tickets for this match. I gave up my ST this year due to moving to Australia next month but also because the football was awful. I want to go one last time and hopefully it's a game to remember. It will be a nervous first few minutes and I'm sure, if we don't concede we will at least have Guzan having a mare to scare us all. I have faith we will prevail and be a 2/3-1 win to us. I just don't want to see Westwood in the starting lineup, would prefer Veretout given a chance again.

Re: Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Very nervous about tonight....very nervous. I'm hoping that our appalling display on Saturday works in our favour. I guess had we been in a rich vein of form we could of been too complacent tonight....that just simply cannot be allowed to happen.
My view and opinion on a line up (as discussed in tactics going forward threaad) is a 4-1-4-1 formation:
Bunn
Hutton Richards Clark Amavi
Sanchez
Sinclair Grealish Gil Gabby
Kozak
4 Brummie lads in the line up (with Lescott on the bench) should be enough to ensure the required grit and passion is there.

Got a ticket for this one! Very excited as it's going to be popping my second city derby cherry!
Hoping for a good win here! Would like to see Veretout given a proper go in midfield.

Well let me be the first to welcome you to the best place on earth. Don't believe that shit about everything being able to kill you. MOST things, yes. EVERY thing....no. :)

Cant see Kozak starting, TS already said he is last in the list when it comes to striking options, then again he's full of shit so he probably was the first name on the team sheet. Either way I expect us to struggle in front of goal

This is my problem with Sherwood at the moment, he seems totally blind to the bleedin' obvious.
This blindness usually only afflicts managers after several years in charge.....so not a good sign!

Re: Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Must be a villa sickness with our managers, Tim has a hard head, talks good in front of media, but not so good on the pitch, this is his team, needs to sort his tactics out, needs to get it right tonight or it will be a blood bath for us.ViewFromT2 wrote:Synopsis wrote:Cant see Kozak starting, TS already said he is last in the list when it comes to striking options, then again he's full of shit so he probably was the first name on the team sheet. I agree, this is very worrying. Us as fans are able to see it, I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but you can see it happening as the match goes on. Surely he has watched the match DVDs and seen our flaws and where he went wrong?
He has to win this, no question about it not just for his job but for the players sake. If we lose I, like many, can't see where the points will come from in the next few fixtures

Not sure about the team choice, could be a dud or a complete master stroke!

I honestly don't think he knows what he's doing. If he knew he'd stick to one or two systems and the same key players.

I'm retracting the post above. Pie for me.
This 433 looks balanced. Gj TS.
I didn't realise Clark was put in midfield

Obviously ment to quote my own post. Sorry.
Gestede shouldn't play. Get Ayew on and just sell Gestede.

Re: Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Gestede is one of the worst strikers I've ever seen in a Villa shirt. Arguably in the EPL in general as well. What's the point of him? Utter dogshit and forces the team to hoof. Get Sellars, Ayew fucking ANYONE else on

I know Gestede got the goal but Ayew looked a different player to fgs one we've seen when he came on. Played himself right into contention for Anfield imo

Re: Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Can we allow ourselves to be optimistic tonight & say that some of our new players might be building some confidence which will see a turnaround?
Maybe...?
Maybe...?
