Well we've got potato head for a while longer so I don't expect the starting line up to look like the above, buts it what I'd throw in. Bench would be Steer, Samba, Jedinak, Adomah, Lansbury, Agbonlahor, Davis.

I hope we get something out of this but I can't see it so I reckon 1-2 Norwich.

Reckon a McGrath awful incredibly boring 1-1, with hoofball tactics.

Re: Aston Villa v Norwich City
I would go with that @Dazzle, obviously Hogan can't play so I would go with Davis but it will be Gabby!
As I am going I am going for an optimistic 1 - 1.
By the way Bruce talks b*ll*cks, he judges himself after ONE week, what happened to the previous nine odd months?

Johnstone
Bree Chester Terry Taylor
Whelan
Hourihane Onomah
O'Hare Hepburn-Murphy
Hogan
I did entertain the thought of Dropping Whelan for Lansbury, and employing Onomah a bit deeper, but I do think Whelan will come good for us. Obviously not the team Bruce will pick but I think we'd be better off trying something different in the final third, if Hogan's injured, I'd play Davis.
Completely forgot about Green, maybe start him instead of Rushian.

Re: Aston Villa v Norwich City
Quoting myself from another thread:
If Hogan's out then Davis or Audrey to start up front. I would imagine they both have a lot of experience playing with Green and O'Hare so already one (two or even three) up on the rest of the squad.
Assuming Hogan and Elmo are still injured I think Bruce will play
And we'll lose by either two or three goals to a rejuvenated Norwich who'll know to pressure us all match and will strike once the've knackered us out. Bruce will bring on Samba after 70 minutes and will have planned this before the match on the basis that Gabby will be tired by then, not because he'll have noticed by then that all the long balls he's instructed everyone to kick forward aren't being controlled or even received* by Gabby or Onomah, because he won't have spotted that.
*Norwich will nick more long balls from under the noses of Gabby and Onemah than they'll successfully not quite jump up in time to connect with.

Note the complete lack of Gabby. Audrey and/or Davis on the bench.

Actually, you know what, I wonder if he'll try three at the back since a standard four hasn't worked and it will enable him to play more people in midfield:
Although I'm being optimistic thinking Hourihane will play again after his display and goal at Reading.

Well, Bruce is a desperate man so no doubt he'll be turning to Jedi and Elmo tomorrow. And yes, watch him contrive to play Gabby on his own tomorrow . He might have put O'Hare and Davis in the squad, but you can bet your bottom dollar they won't be starting under this chancer.

And yet he's still likely to be faster than Whelan.

Re: Aston Villa v Norwich City
Bruce will fill the team with as many of our players as possible that he deems to be 'real men' or 'characters', tell them to get behind the ball and attempt to soak up the pressure, hope that we don't concede and hopefully score from a set-piece or a long punt. His reasoning will be, that we just need 1-0 victory from somewhere to get our season going. If we get a draw, he'll probably spin it as us turning a corner.
Pour l'amour de Dieu !!! , please sack him if we fail to win.

I really admire the effort you guys who put out potential team line up are showing. I'm past caring whilst Bruce is here cos whoever plays in what position and however good they are on paper, we all know how the game will pan out dont we?
Plus I'm still scarred from my norwich marathon last season, so ill be hiding behind the sofa until 17.00 tomorrow.

We always seem to beat Norwich at VP

I haven't watched any of our losing highlights from what I have seen of Whelan against Hull & especially Watford, he looks a lot better than I expected.
Tactics for tomorrow, get it wide, get it in, goal, simple Mr Bruce
PS, my lad had put RIP Bruce on his Facebook feed, I thought Mr Potato head had got sacked

I read a piece on club site saying that Hogan had an injection and could well be ok for tomorrow, I guess we'll see tomorrow at 2pm!

Unfortunately I concur. I really really hope we go out guns blazing and finish 90 minutes how we played our first 45 against Hull, but I suspect it doesn't matter who we sign or have on the pitch. Bruce will have them playing anything but good football.

Just listened to that interview and doesn't come across with much belief and confidence does he? No wonder we are losing if that's the type of manager we have in the dressingroom

Re: Aston Villa v Norwich City
Jedinak's back, in the last five games against Norwich at Villa Park, we've won four and drawn one, they're in a period of transition, surely the players will be fired up after the last few games, if Bruce can't inspire us to win this game, then when can he lead us to victory.

Re: Aston Villa v Norwich City
Steve Bruce is considering teaming Mile Jedinak with Glenn Whelan in the heart of midfield.
Well that sounds exciting and what a dynamic pairing, nailed on 0 - 0 if they do start!

He needs a result AND a convincing performance. If he plays two defensive midfielders at home and fails, he deserves everything that will be coming his way.

Looking for best parking spots, any suggestions?
Been 8 years since I was last over an able to get to a game so not sure where is best to park now. Is the leisure centre a decent spot?

The leisure centre is no longer there, office blocks now.
I don't drive I go by train so I can't help but there seems plenty of car parks for a £5 around the ground.
Depending on what time you get there you might find some free parking on the streets.
Good Luck and enjoy the game.
