Can we win three in a row?
MAN CITY V ASTON VILLA 25 APR 5:30PM
After the euphoria of beating Liverpool to reach the FA Cup final .... we go again. We don't do three wins in a row do we (or do we)?
Could we be witnessing the birth of a new mentally tougher team who don't give a damn about the opposition? Do we have the fitness and energy to stick it up a wobbly Man City? Will it be 90 minutes of "VILLA, VILLA' or will it be "oh sh*t we're back down to earth again"?
All will be revealed by 7:30pm on Saturday evening.
What's it going to be guys?

I think we will get hammered and a bloody good job too. Far too much positivity around these days, I can't handle it. I want to get back to feeling depressed.
(but I hope we will win!!!)

A hammering with just five games to play could cost us another point because of our goal difference.

If we play like we did against Liverpool, high paced pressing and not giving the opposition time on the ball then we can beat city just like burnley and palace have done in the last month.
So 2-1 villa for me
So 2-1 villa for me

I hope MC think it's the old villa that will show up, it will be close if villa play like they did against Lpool.
I hope we get a point,a win would be great,UTV.

We always lost to City even when they were shite, narrow 1-2 defeat , i presume Sinclair wont be able to play either !

We always lose to Citeh no doubt the obligatory dodgy decision thrown in as well. If weve come back down to earth a narrow defeat awaits if we still have our heads in the clouds it could be another 5-0 either way I don't expect us to get anything.

Absolutely no doubt that Man City have better players, but they don't look anything like a team at the moment. Villa for the first time in years are playing like a proper team. It could be a good match.

Re: MAN CITY V ASTON VILLA 25 APR 5:30PM
3-1 to villa with 2 more goals for benteke and a first premier league goal for grealish and then straight after the match its annouced that the Doug Ellis stand is to be renamed the Tim Sherwood stand. Joking aside City will be a real test as they are strong at home but i feel that we have far more Grit and resolve in our side than City's at the moment which gives us a real chance of getting something.

We're about 10/1 for the win. Even if you really don't fancy us, that's got to be worth at least 50p of anyone's money

Re: MAN CITY V ASTON VILLA 25 APR 5:30PM
I think Tim's drummed his positivity into the players' heads, the stands will be full and noisy, the new training regime seems to be paying dividends, Vlaar and Westwood are back (and letting the players around them get on with their own jobs), everyone seems to be happy and playing as a team; I don't really care what the result is as long as they play like they did on Sunday. I'm going for a win. Not like the win when Lambert was in charge and we had no possession and played kick-and-hope but a win where we outplay the opposition and take them out of their comfort zone.
I have to say that as much as I like Guzan I want to see Given start. And I always want to see a man on the post (or posts). Apart from that, all good!

I think Manure citeh will be ready for us on Saturday. However it will be a different prospect to the last game we played against them. I think we will be more positive and we still have the momentum from the Wembley game. I am going for a draw with a sneaky win if city play like they did at united. UTV

I hope you meant the visiting stand! Citeh will only be 2/3 full as usual, and they will be quiet as a church mouse, just like PloP!FoxyAV wrote:...the stands will be full and noisy...

Re: MAN CITY V ASTON VILLA 25 APR 5:30PM
Are Man City any better at the moment than Tottenham and Liverpool? Not for me. I think I would be more surprised at a big loss than a big win at the moment. As long as we go out on the front foot and create chances then any points are a bonus but I can see a point or three from this weekend.

Let's hope our rivals at the bottom slip up so we can go into the game with a little less pressure. A point here would be fantastic and i believe we're more than capable of getting it.

This game shows how far we've come since Lambert, quite a few quietly confident people out there..... Also a few not so quiet UTV

I think we have enough confidence in the squad to have a go, play on the front foot and in their face, and we will do OK, sit back and we have had it, so lets take it to em.
