And there was thousands of us thinking it was the lack of tactics and predictable formation. Looks like we were all wrong though, sorry Paul!

That game was the final straw for me, tried to see the positives beforehand but Lambert has to go sooner rather than later now. Look who we've got in our next few games

The passing it around going nowhere without creative players might be intended to make Villa more attractive to creative players during this winter transfer window.
If we were hoofing it up to Benteke a creative midfield talent would not be impressed and would be worried he'd be completely by-passed and he might thus choose a club like Swansea instead of us.
That is if we're in the market for creative midfielders.
Anyway, what we need next time out are some tactics. Just sending 11 men out onto a field to do their own shit every now and then gets us nowhere. They need to get a white board, a black felt marker and a pointing stick, sit the players down Monday morning and properly plan the next game.

Where is that list of Lambert achievements and unenviable record. I feel a strongly worded letter coming on.

Some of the players went missing today due to a lack of confidence in what they're being asked to do. Too many square pegs in round holes playing for a manager who ran out of ideas ages ago. It's not going to end well.
We still haven't got a proper first team coach .... can you tell?

We haven't scored for 7 hours and we don't need a striker.
Possibly a full back then Paul?

Someone said today - Lambert was the right gamble to take. His Norwich team played well and looked good in the Prem. But he's proven himself not good enough.
I agree. We took a bit of a gamble hoping he could make something work - he isn't. Why is he still here?
Lerner.

So he is also must be blaming leaner for no funds for players, he should pull the plug and go.Sky wrote:Lambert blames the lack of creative players!!!
The team is not playing look at the mess today.we will be going down the plug hole as well.
Sad days another shit week end.
Mr Fox needs to step up and sort out the mess, but who can we get in to replace this so called manager.
Having a good drink tonight to try and forget the shit I have been watching.

Not worth it mate! had a good drink a while ago and it don't get any better. the bitter taste is everlasting (and I was drinking Beck's larger) going to have a few cup's of coffee (no doubt we will be last on MOTD again, another record Lamberk should be proud of) and hope that Lerner is getting his jet fuelled up as I write this.

Don't see how Lerner can get much blame for this. On paper, man to man we are better than Leicester. Who is the one not getting the best out of them and putting them out of position consistently ? Lambert.

I was expecting Lambert to blame the supporters for booing last week, they upset the players that much, they kicked the toys out of the pram, and played shit football.
I do not watch MOTD anymore depressing.

There's not a lot new to say really is there? Lambert needs to go, long overdue I think most of us can agree.
But it's not just Lambert, the quality of performance from some well paid and talented players has been absolutely abysmal. Hutton let himself down today, Sanchez is just a bit of a fucking calamity, Agbonlahor was invisible - and captain for fucks sake - and I'm sorry to say our "strike machine" Benteke needs to actually prove he can do something as from where I sit it's starting to look like he's got a very good PR machine working for him and not a lot else, it's not just down to him not being fed anything of quality.
Well done to Guzan, Clark and Cole today and to everyone else at the club, hang your heads in shame. Respect and commiserations to the travelling fans.

AGREE with most of your post, Gaddy did FA and Sanchez is a Calamity (how the hell he stayed on the pitch for 70 minutes really bugs me, he was getting raped left, right and centre) As for Benteke he showed some desire to win a game and score, he even played on the wing, dropped back to midfield and even defended, he did more today than most, he just lacked service, " You can stand in a cue all day and still not get the service you require." You get lazy as a striker when you lose faith in your midfield (As was proven with Bent), If Lambert does keep his job? who is to blame other than Mr Tight-Arse Lerner, I would rather not spend and retain in this window and any funds Lerner had to offer was spent on Fcuking Lambert out.

Nah, we've seen that look before.
He's going nowhere and he knows it. The club, however, is heading for the Championship.

Re: Leicester v Aston Villa Saturday 10th January 2015
If I were writing to Fox I'd be asking him what it is Lambert actually does. I go to Le Mans every year for the 24 hour race and there are jams outside the circuit throughout because the French police, CSA and Gendarmes are directing the traffic. As soon as the race is over they've buggered off and the traffic flow is absolutely fine because remarkably we all know what we're doing.
Lambert's tried Guzan passing it out rather than hoofing to Benteke (see my previous point about perhaps getting the forwards to bomb forward when Guzan gets the ball and then letting him decide if he wants to hoof or roll to our defenders, who'll have more space as the opposition hotfoot it back to cover our forwards) and it, like hoofball, hasn't worked. I'd like to suggest Lambert buggers off for four or five matches to see how the players get on without him. If they do even worse, he can come back.

If not (by which I mean more than 50% of our possession involves the midfield passing the ball sideways) I'll listen to it on the radio while doing something constructive like some painting (and possibly watching it dry).
You know what, the next match I come to see live at VP will be the first one after Lambert is relieved of his job. I'd love to be coming up but I just can't do it.

One shot on target one bleeding shot. It would make a pig laugh . However Lambert said we didn't perform in the final third. A blind man on a galloping horse could see that. Dull dull dull it has got to change or this time we will go down. After the match I was completely lost for words. I only wish Lambert was too. The tactics are a complete waste of time soooooooooo pissed off got to stop now before I

Re: Leicester v Aston Villa Saturday 10th January 2015
It's obvious to EVERY SINGLE Villa supporter that:
1: 4-3-3 isn't working
2: Playing with 3 defensive midfielders doesn't create opportunities
3: Gabby & Weimann aren't good enough to be starting week in and week out
4: Cleverley is completely useless, yet continues to start every game and will probably be bought for £7.5 million by the end of this month, even though he only has 6 fucking months left on his contract.
5: Lambert's substitutions are even more clueless than MON's
6: We have the worst disciplinary record in the league and have a whopping 5 red cards in the past 12 matches
7: Change is needed quickly or we WILL be relegated this season.

I think today's rollover proved once and for all that Lambert can't do any better. The players possibly can, but not under this manager. Lerner/fox have a decision to make. To bad it wasn't made before Pulis became unavailable, because it's all about survival now.

Hell, even Neil Warnock would get us playing better than this, and you know he wouldn't be afraid of telling the players how shit their performances were.

If they don't fuck him off this week, we deserve to go down. Because that's where we're heading and we're not doing anything to stop it.
Over to you Fox and Lerner. Randy, fuck Lambert off and then fuck off with yourself.
