Villa win. Because nothing else will be good enough.
Sanchez to start and nullify Watford's counter attack by picking up Igloo

We really need to win a game soon and this looks like the best candidate for a while. I have put us down for a win, with a similar line-up to the City game but that might be a triumph of hope over the facts.

Re: Aston Villa v Watford Saturday 28th November 2015
I thought we played some decent stuff against City and a similar performance will see us get the 3 pts.
We have to hope to all that is good that Garde learnt a lot from the performance of certain players against Everton, and unless for injuries, we must hope they don't play for us again.
If he gets his selection right, we win. Simple!
I would like to see Adama at some point....I would even be tempted to throw him up top, and play on the shoulder of their centre backs. He would definitely cause their back line some problems.

Diamond in midfield with Sanchez at its base, Gueye and Veretout, Gil at the point behind Traore and Ayew? Sinclair on the bench can be used if needed, or Zog
Lots of pace and direct running at the top with Gil picking the passes

I've gone for a Watford win based on the fact i can't see them not scoring and can't see us scoring as we pose such little threat.. this makes it so easy for teams to take a gamble against us.. its almost a shot to nothing for them we are so powder puff.
Play Traore however and i think we can score

You'd hope that, after the Everdone game, Remi should have a much better idea of the squad he's inherited so I'll be extremely interested to see the line-up.
Surely a team that held Man Citeh can fashion something against Whatfor...

Kozak and Gardner story here:
http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~5162790,00.html
I'd really like to see Kozak play alongside Ayew, as long as we can get the ball to them. Is now the best time to take a punt on Gardner though? I still maintain we should never see Westwood and Sanchez on the pitch together and since Sanchez has done more than enough to prove he should start in front of the defence, should Gardner take Gueye's or Veretout's place? Going on Veretout's performance in the second half against Everton I'd be more inclined to keep him, with Gueye as midfield sub. If it will be a 4-1-4-1 again Ayew would work well on the right, but if we have Sinclair on the left will it be enough to track back to cover whoever plays at LB or could we even consider Gardner in that position, next to Gueye? So a midfield of Gardner - Gueye - Veretout - Ayew? No Gil though. Conundrums for the manager to work out.
I've gone for a Villa win. We're at home, we have to win it, everyone's going to be up for it.

Have to go for a Villa win!
Stating the obvious but we have to get some points otherwise we are doomed and we have to start NOW!
Team selection will be interesting, hopes that Remi goes for something like this, very similar to Man City:
...................................Guzan...................................
Hutton..............Richards..............Clark............Richardson
.................................Sanchez.................................
......Gil...........Veretout...............Gueye............Sinclair...
.................................Ayew...................................
Possibly Gabby (he owes us big time) in place of Ayew and Ayew in place of Sinclair is another possibility.

This is going to be my son's first ever match at Villa Park. He has only started supporting Villa in the last 18 months or so, and it's a bit of a trek for us on planes, trains and automobiles to get there, so I really hope he will be a lucky omen.

Thought he was good against City and decent in the 2nd half against Everton. We can't just gamble on Gardner in a game we must win

On a lighter note we beat Fleetwood today at BMH winning 5-2, Traore with 2 goals and according to a little birdy he ran the show from start to finish. Must play on Saturday surely?

He brings a LOT of pace and that always gives you a chance. It might be a risk to start him against Watford though. I'd prefer to spring him from the bench with 30 minutes to go. If we concede early and the crowd start to get restless, it's a tough gig for a young player. Oh, and obviously our defending was up to current standards.

From the limited times I have seen him, he is not the sort to track back much, so as an impact sub possibly yes!

Play him up front and he doesn't need to track back...

Gardner skill wise is not a gamble ,Veretout.. is way off the pace, I did not see anything in the 2nd half to suggest different .Only Sanchez's looked good in our midfield when he came on.

He just hasn't played enough to take a gamble on him, he is too injury prone as it is, for that matter did he play today against Fleetwood?
If he did how did he do?
