Do we have any chance against Chelsea nd will Sherwood still be in charge against Swansea ?
Chelsea v Aston Villa Saturday 17th October 2015
Finger nail biting time again. i would be over the moon with a draw but Chelsea are due to give someone a bloody good kicking and we are primed for it. I feel a bit of a hammering is on the cards for us and a possible Sherwood exit.
4 nil Chelsea

We lose. No idea of the score. Probably 2-0.
Probably won't score, be surprised if we trouble they suspect defence. Only hope is balls in and Rudy attacking every one. We just seem the perfect team for Chelsea to pick up a win against and tactically Sherwood vs Mourinho should be done on a handicap

I think we could get a hammering here as Chelsea have to get it together sooner rather than later and who better to play when you are going through a bad spell?

My brother has just sent me a screenshot from a betslip on his phone, he's had 50p on Chelsea to win 8-0....returns £350!!
No idea what site he uses...but 700/1 is worth 50p of even the most ardent villa supporters hard earned!!

Re: Chelsea v Aston Villa Saturday 17th October 2015
I'm sure we will lose. However there is always a chance, despite my certainty, that we will get something because of the crazy way things have shaken out so far.
Who would have thought that after eight games we would be within four points of last year's champions? Even more unlikely, who would have imagined that scenario involved us being in 18th place and them being 16th?
We've got some good players in our squad but unfortunately we have a capricious idiot who is responsible for picking the team out of that squad, organising them and getting them motivated to execute his formula.
Could we get something? If we had a fully fit squad to choose from, the right team and tactics are selected and the right subs at the right time are made, fuck yes. Will we, bearing in mind if Traore is fit the twat will probably recall N'crapzia, Lescott will play, Gil and Grealish will probably not be in the squad and Westwood and Gabby will play again, fuck no.

If Traore is fit he has to start, we should be setting out to get at them from the start rather than fall behind and then bring the creative players on hoping to salvage something. I've no idea what starting 11 Sherwood will send out.
If everyone is fit I'd like to see a starting 11 of;
....................................Guzan.....................................
Crespo..............Richards...............Clark...............Amavi
............Gueye...............Sanchez.........
..........Traore................Gil....................Grealish.......
.................................Gestede................................
Sanchez tasked with winding up Costa (if he isn't suspended!)

Re: Chelsea v Aston Villa Saturday 17th October 2015
I'm predicting Tim will stick to his previously successful tactic of graciously allowing the opposition to attack us for the first half, when we'll be attacking in a 1-2-1-3-3 formation but defending as a 6-4, with Gil and Grealish on the posts to support Guzan. In the second half we'll go on the attack with Gil replaced by Sanchez and Grealish moved to RB to replace Crespo, who'll move up front with Gabby.
I'm not absolutely certain this is how Sherwood will play it but it's a formation he hasn't yet tried, so we should expect to see it or something similar. I'm expecting us to thrash them by only conceding two more goals than them.

Chance of anything other than another embarrassing day = 0
Unless Chelsea totally implode miss 2 penalties and have 3 players sent off... then we might scrape a draw.

Suspect it's gonna be a 2-0 win for Chelsea.
Even if they could hammer us 8-0, that's not what Mourinho is about. He just gets the win and closes shop.

Think Clark is injured...so assume Lescott will play.
Hopefully we will see Okore and Richards for a partnership, but I won't hold my breath!
my guess is the team will be very similar to this....
---------------guzan
hutton -- Richards -- lescott -- amavi
----westwood ---- sanchez
gana --- grealish --- Sinclair
--------------gabby

Totally relaxed about this game.
Obviously we'll lose, probably quite convincingly.
Just another nail in Timbo's coffin.
Every cloud .........

I lke Dazzles side. Not sure if Clark is injured but I think it's moot as Sherwood seems to favour Lescott for reasons I cannot even begin to work out.
Chelsea are in trouble, the manager is under severe pressure, their team looks utterly without cohesion and they need to stop the rot with immediate effect. Is there a team anywhere in the known universe that they'd rather play next?
Thinman has it right though...there's a silver lining to the hammering we're about to get.

FWIW, Physioroom have Clark injured and won't be ready for Chelsea anyway.

First off we should arrange for Lescott to be kidnapped and not released until his contract runs out. I was never happy with THAT signing. Villa fan or not - he is DIRE.
A work colleague Chelsea nutter with a serious man-crush on Drogba (LOL) is sooooo depressed at the moment, he is convinced Villa will win and win comfortably just because the Special One has come to the end of his patience with this club and wants a new challenge. He doesn't think Mourinho has lost the dressing room - he's just bored.
I'm usually optimistic but I wonder who will be the depressed one in the department come Monday morning?

Lescott is fine as a backup. Brings experience and such. However playing him infront of Clark or Okore is a mistake. Unfortunately they are both injured.
Ayew, Gil, Grealish, Veretout. They should all play

We all know he will bench them and play Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Amavi, Sanchez, Westwood, Gana, Gabby, Sinclair and Gestede.
He will sub the best player for us at 60 minutes.
We will not put in a decent cross until Gestede is subbed for Grealish.
Then when we get hammered he will blame the players for not creating any chances.
And the players he didn't want are still taking time to gel, apparently.

Re: Chelsea v Aston Villa Saturday 17th October 2015
I honestly think he gets it wrong again.
I'm not even gonna waste energy in questioning Richardson, but why are we not packing the midfield with a 3 CMs? Does he honestly think Westwood and Gana will run the show against on of the best midfields in Europe? I honestly do not think he knows what he's doing. Doesn't seem he understand basic tactics 101.

I'm sure that team will have Mourinho scratching his head wondering what he's missing. we will be so open it's not funny.

He's dropped Amavi for Richardson?
Well, most geniuses get called lunatics in their lifetime. But I'm 100% sure that Sherwood is just a plain fucking lunatic. Unless he's deliberately being a prick in order to sink us and get a nice early payout.
