Remi says there's 57 points to win ... 3 on Saturday, then 54. We've already got 8 so 65 points to end the season isn't bad.
Expect to see a solid back 4, probably with Bacuna at right back. In front of them a variety of average with Veretout attempting to pull the strings that may as well be attached to a mannequin.
Gestede is our only available striker so surely now Kozak has a chance lo make the bench, come on at the hour, score a trick and be our saviour for the season.
We are staying up!

Ayew out for this so I don't see where a goal could come from meaning we are relying on our defence to scrape a draw.
Get tae fuck, as they say in Caledonia. Sam is savvy enough to know that one of our usual suspects will screw up and let a goal in. He'll work Hutton knowing the dick is never defending wide right when he should be and he'll work Bacuna knowing he's on the wrong side of the pitch. Then he'll get balls pinged in knowing anyone in the box will have their heads up their arses and will lose their man and said man will merely have to get the ball on target to get it past Guzan.
Anyone else want to pick a win?

We will lose by a lot. I'm not even watching.
We've got a good record up there so they will want revenge.
They have a few players that are willing to get dirty, we don't.
Ayew is our only talented forward and he's out.
If you think we're getting anything here you must be on crack. We couldn't even beat them at home.

I would rather see Lyden come in.

Unless we get a couple of good signings in in time another loss. Sunderland will go for us as we have nothing up front & no pace to counter with (unless he plays Gabby and he manages to set something up with his 3 touches of the ball).
I see it as they can go all out attack with little risk of us scoring at all.

haha play Gardner to have to sub him less than 15min into the game cos he's injured again. another overrated 'one of us ' like grealish. Might as well save them both for next season as that's there level sadly. This will be another game we play for a draw and lose 2-0villajk wrote:He must play Gary Gardner, personaly glad westwood is out gives nothing to the team

Gardner has shown little in our first team in the past even less than Westwood and Bacuna have.

Yeh Gardner isn't a PL player.
I have some faith in Grealish, despite the fact that I think he's overrated and a twat. He isn't used correctly. He doesn't have the pace, dribbling or shots to be a winger or CAM. He has however balance, eye for a pass etc. I'd play him in central three man midfield. A bit like Scholes, just need to beat work rate into the lazy sugarbag first.

Nope can't stand Westwood either, I am going to assume your attempt at using a nationality to refer to a player is in reference to Vertout, whilst his pass completion is almost the same, westwoods is slightly higher less than 1% difference (but most of his passes are backwards compared to Vertout) And whilst Vertout can actually take a set piece and it stand some chance of getting anywhere near where it was meant to go, I'm not a great fan of his either, I find he lacks concentration which leads to unforced errors or unesseccary pressure both of which are usually costly, a problem Sanchez also seems to suffer from.
Some of these things may be down to confidence in part, but mostly our squad is devoid of any real quality players to lift the crap ones up that extra notch to turn them into bang average players.
As for your comments that grealish is the best player on our books, in 708 minutes he has contributed no crosses, no assists, no through balls and 1 goal from 14 attempts. If that's the best player on our books then we are royally fucked

Even a blind liar can see Ayew and Amavi are streets ahead of any players we got, including whatever English players jk has a hard on for. .

at first no one liked Ayew, he has only just started to play fact, I would like to see how Vertout and Gardner play in midfield. Grealish is the only villa player a top team would take thats how good he is,he needs good players who can play around him we dont have any that includes Ayew who dose work his socks off

Re: Sunderland v Aston Villa Saturday 2nd January 2016 3pm ko
Bearing in mind Garde appears to be going for draws until he can bring in some players this month (or perhaps he has been trying to win but has been consistently selecting the wrong players and we're going to draw our way to the end of the season?) I wonder if he might pull off a master stroke like West Ham against ManC a couple of seasons ago by playing a 4-6-0 formation. That would completely nullify their attack and mess with Sunderland's heads wouldn't it? It would be nice to think we could play Gestede with a couple of wingers happy to bang the ball in to him (maybe Sinclair on the left and Traore on the right), since we now have three places freed up with the absence of Sanchez, Westwood and Ayew. Or, crazy as this sounds, a 4-4-1-1 with Traore behind Gestede, Sinclair on the left (he can kind of defend where Grealish can't) and Bacuna on the right. Crazy talk to suggest we could have three attacking players in the front six but who knows, maybe the lack of defensive players will force Garde's hand.

Can we just stop this talk of Gardner playing as he is still not fit (will he ever be)!
No top team would sign Grealish, why because he doesn't defend and is work shy, he might have ability but that is not enough, just look at Sanchez of Arsenal for an example of what a top player should look like! The only Villa player to come even remotely close is Ayew, Amavi might but he has to return from a bad injury, the rest are mediocre to say the least.
Anyway onto the match, which I think Sunderland will win comfortable.
Sam will definitely out think Remi, he knows what his side have to do and he will definitely exploit our weaknesses which we have many!

According to this Gardner is not fit:

and he is certainly not match fit as he hasn't played any reserve games.
Obviously you know better!
