Okore looks very commanding, i know its only mansfield, but he also looks like a big centre half, and has a decent leap on him, hopefully stays fit as think him and concrete at the back this coming season and we will have a stable defence.

Also Joey Cole still has the vision, just tried a sneaky pass without looking and almost came of, more games under his belt and better understand as time goes by and think he can feed benteke to fire a fair few g9oals next season.

I'd give him a 5 maybe.. nothing to worry about at this point of course just all about fitness and the first step towards integrating the new players.. Should be winning the game by a couple but for rusty finishing..Bacuna missed a couple of chances on being a sitter and Gabby a header plus Bennett had a chance on target but was cleared off the line.

Positives i'd say were Cole looked quality to me with a classy touch and Okore's pace at the back was handy. Given looked ok too i thought

Negatives for me were Delph who just constantly gave the ball away & in some dangerous areas too, Tonevs shooting continued to be woeful though he had a few nice touches, Gabby was ineffective too for me Bacuna's finishing was woeful though otherwise he looked our liveliest player.

I know it's only Mansfield but a Hutton to Bent combination scores our first goal in 3 months and people want these 2 out the club? Best right back and best fit striker at the club have to stay for me.

Hutton looks far more relaxed in his playing , rather suggesting that he was trying too hard to impress in earlier appearances for Villa

2nd half

Much better and really good performances from the bomb squad which makes an absolute mockery of it all!

They really did play well that second half with Nzogbia buzzing about, Bent lethal, Hutton i have to say was quality...Gardner played well also

How refreshing... Give them all new contracts i say!

Also Richardson looked good too!
