TEAM NEWS

Manager Paul Cox is expected to field more trialists in tonight’s clash with Aston Villa at One Call Stadium.

Four un-named trialists impressed during the clash with Notts County on Saturday, which we won 3-1 courtesy of goals by Alex Fisher (pen), Martin Riley and Ollie Palmer.

Ryan Tafazolli will miss the match due to a minor ankle problem whilst fellow defender Luke Jones is rated as 50-50.

Meanwhile, this is the first pre-season fixture for our opponents, who jet-off on a tour of the United States next week.

The Villains could hand debuts to former England internationals Keiran Richardson and Joe Cole, who both joined the club during the summer.

However, new signing Philippe Senderos isn’t expected to feature as he featured in the World Cup for Switzerland last month.


PREVIOUS MEETINGS

In four previous meetings between the two teams in competitive action, Mansfield Town boast a superior head-to-head record and are undefeated.

All four matches came back in the early 1970s – the Stags twice winning 1-0 at Villa Park (August 1970 and September 1971) and 2-0 on home soil (April 1971).

The last meeting, which was on Bank Holiday Monday in North Nottinghamshire in April 1972, finished a 1-1 draw.


MATCH TICKETS

Home supporters can purchase tickets up to 7.45pm.

Tickets are priced as follows:

£10: Adults
£5: Concessions (Students, Senior Citizens (60+), Under 16s)
FREE: Under 7s

Away supporters should not to travel to One Call Stadium if they aren’t in possession of a valid match ticket. No tickets are sold to away supporters on matchdays under any circumstances.


PARKING

We have extremely limited parking spaces available at One Call Stadium, but some spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.


SANDY PATE SPORTS BAR

The Sandy Pate Sports Bar will be open to supporters from midday.

Soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, hot/cold food, and other light refreshments can all be purchased in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar, which is open from a restaurant until 5.00pm.

After 5.00pm, only supporters with a valid match ticket can enter the Sandy Pate Sports Bar before. The bar re-opens to the general public following the match.

Who picks the teams we play in pre-season? Always end up travelling away from West Midlands, playing teams like Mansfield, Wycombe, Peterborough, Luton, Colchester.

I know some of them aren't too far but surely it would be easier and cheaper for the fans if we played one of the first friendlies at Tamworth, Kiderminster, Shrewsbury, Burton or even Sutton Coldfield Town? Nice to help out a local club too.

Also, why isn't Villa and Blues on this list?
