Just had a look and around 6th September last year the papers were full of him "raging" that we hadn't sold him and "letting rip" at Paul Lambert.

Re: Alan Hutton
Darren Bent also came out in the press and had a pop at Lambert a few times including talking about his anger over Lambert not telling him he was giving away his number 9 shirt. Can't see that being a close working relationship either.

Re: Alan Hutton
I think some of them were treated harshly, NOT ALAN HUTTON but possibly bent as he did keep us up.

Re: Alan Hutton
I'm not saying that he is any good, to be honest. I personally think he has been terrible more often than not for us.
I'm at a loss to explain how he is so bad for us, yet was so good for Scotland and (before he joined us) Sunderland.

Just offering my point of view i think with Hutton and Bent that there's too much water under the bridge for them to have any sort of positive impact on the squad. In fact i think their influence (if we keep Lambert as manager) could be pretty poisonous.

Lets hope if and when he plays, we have the red cross on standby. You have to be over just to see one of his tackles.

If he is going to play for us, let's hope he doesn't play like this: watch his idiotic pass at 0:35-0:40!

I have to agree, the only reason Villa fans hate Hutton is that he is/was a thug and the fact that he was a McLeish signing, I always thought Hutton looked pretty solid in defence but was a bit dodgy going forward and I honestly think he is the best we have at the moment.

I couldn't care less if he was/is a thug, the fact of the matter is he is SHITE, and thinks hes GREAT. sod all to do with McLeish, the bloke is cack.

Re: Alan Hutton
The re-integration of the remaining bomb squad members could just as easily be an attempt to make them that little bit more salable this summer.
I watched most of the game last night and he actually played really well in parts. Got forward well and put in some dangerous crosses. There is a difference between playing a weakened Nigeria side and playing in the Premiership every week though.

Yep Billy and if he does feature for us again this is his last chance to step up and be a man otherwise he will end up rotting away in the lower leagues, there is some talent there but he seems to switch off.
