Re: Alan Hutton
But I don't see why he would care anymore about this club, ridiculous decision.

Re: Alan Hutton
I know sceptical, how mad is it that only a few weeks back I was so excited about who was buying us, the money we would have, talks of the 5th richest man in the world taking over, now it just seems like utter despair! instead of weaking up to "larry Ellison" linked, Klinsman manager" now its, Alan Hutton Returns.

And that's why in my very early posts when all this Ellison and Anschutz talk was rife, I on several occasions told people to slow down and people who leaked these names where infinitely in the wrong as there are loads of fans who got carried away.
Then when the events (lack of) in the past few days surface we get a feeling of what a collective of posters are feeling today.
Alan Hutton is the straw that breaks the camels back and has depressed everyone.
But i'm still reasonably positive to a certain degree because I never got carried away in the first place.
I will reiterate something I have said over and over again for the last time
Nobody knows truly the majority of what is going on at our football club other than Randy Lerner, Paul Faulkner, BoA and any interested parties and when the time is right for us to know is the time when we the fans need to know and that's the announcement of a sale.

Re: Alan Hutton
Not sure why there's an uproar to be honest. He's not going to be picked for the sake of it. If he comes in, trains well and earns his place ahead of the other options at right back, then that'll mean we're starting stronger than we would have without him. Now, I strongly doubt that'll happen, but if, IF, he even offers a 1% improvement over the other options, then why not play him?
Can't imagine he's exactly match fit at this stage though

Re: Alan Hutton
Best of luck to him. Another player that I want to see battling his way into the side. We have had enough of bad injuries and enough of the pathetic ostracising of players. It is not as if we had a big squad anyway. We have to make the best of what we have got and hope that we have better luck with injuries next season.

Re: Alan Hutton
The last few times I've watched him play for Scotland it's had me believe that there is actually a decent player in Hutton. Had a very good game against England I seem to recall. I'd certainly have him at RB ahead of Bacuna and at least he doesn't pull out of challenges.

Re: Alan Hutton
Never Huttons biggest fan but I think a lot of the Mcliesh hatred has aimed him, he was an easy target.

I am convinced that a great deal of the bile aimed at him was from people who had never seen him play. They just jumped on the bandwagon. We are in no position to pick and choose.

Re: Alan Hutton
I think people are always prone to remember the bad rather than the good for players. Especially for fullbacks. A bad mistake from a fullback costs you a goal or gets him sent off. It's a lot more memorable than good fullback play such as a promising cross, a great tackle or successfully channeling an opponent.
Not sure how much of that we saw from Hutton as a Villa player, but I have seen him do that for other teams. At least if he is reintegrated whether he gets picked or not will be down to his merits as a player rather than the merits of his pay packet.

Re: Alan Hutton
if people remember, he was made various offers from clubs and REFUSED THEM ALL as his wages would be lowered and he wouldn't budge. That says to me hes a footballer, like many others whom only care for money, so billy Bongo's comment "At least if he is reintegrated whether he gets picked or not will be down to his merits as a player rather than the merits of his pay packet " rather than merits on his paypack, enough said.

Re: Alan Hutton
Hasn't he given the club (not just PL) a couple of hammerings in the press as well ?

Re: Alan Hutton
if you are a good footballer who plays not just for money then you would take the pay cut, prove your worth, then ask for more money. This bloke is a cock and whoever thinks its good that hes coming back needs to lay off the H.
