Villa v Sunderland
I am excited about this fixture, given that Sunderland are still dross. I think we will start to see our real potential this week. The look on Defoe's face will be priceless again. Serve him right for snubbing us - look where it got him and he's now demanding an England place!
I wouldn't be surprised at a goal-fest.

with more talent now available, this is the game for the team click and move up a level. Grealish, Sinclair and Veretout to shine and a 3-0 stroll in the park.

I can't quite remember when it was, but yes. Doesn't feel like it was that long ago!
3-1 to the Villa I reckon.

According to Tim, a couple of players have gone down with it and Traore hasn't trained since his kicking.
Then again, that's from Tim so it could be that the whole squad have turned into Spider-Man and Traore has done a half-marathon without breaking sweat.

Judging from the training photos on OS, it looks like Gabby and Grealish were missing today.

Thanks for kicking the thread off, Wendy.
3-0 to Villa. Looks like we could be a few players down but I think we'll give Sunderland a proper spanking.

Re: Villa v Sunderland
as I read the other day , as there was 8 goals in our game & 9 in Sunderland's game, we should expect 0-0 !
in all seriousness , its a must win, i'm going 3-1 Villa

Sickness bug eh?
Sounds like our Timmy is getting his excuses in early (just in case!).
No worries Tim, 3 - 1 to Villa!!

I'm not so optimistic, think this illness will play a part. Edgy 1-0 win!

Even at this army stage its a massive game against a direct relegation rival, we really need a win and a decent display so I'm going 2-1 Villa if they crack it could be 3 or 4

Re: Villa v Sunderland
Saw a Villa line up in the Mail this morning (no, I wouldn't buy that right wing shit, it was all that was left to read when I was herded reluctantly into Costa by Mrs DK when what I really wanted to do was to buy another screwdriver set - just in case, you can never have too many - from Homebase next door). Anyway, the Villa line up didn't have Sinclair or Grealish in it - is that a guess by the Mail or do they know who has the bug?
I would have:
Fed Ex in goal (their distribution is shit as well)
Hutton Richards Clarke Amavi
Gil Gana Veretout
Sinclair Grealish
Gestede
Obviously Traore on at some stage if fit (unless he can start then Traore for Gil, move Gil up to Sinclair's position above and replace Gestede with Sinclair). I'd actually play Sinclair in behind like a no 10 in the hole - he's finding the goal at present so tap into that form.
3-1 to Villa, - we'll be all shirts and trousers for the first 15 mins - they'll score first then we'll come flying back - 1-1 at HT, 2 goals from us to win it second half.

Direct relegation rival? You think we'll be fighting relegation then?

Re: Villa v Sunderland
It wouldn't surprise me to find that one player just happened to get a bit sick like we all do and Sherwood has started rumors of the bug affecting a few players as a way of giving Gabby a rest without looking like he's actually been dropped.

I wonder if there's any truth in this.

I can live with not playing Gabby today but Jack will be missed.

Awful line-up. Way too defensive, and where the fuck is Gil.
Another TS tactical horror story and you can quote me on it.
