Re: Jack Grealish
I do wonder if the club have cut him (his Dad, I mean) more slack as he would have been around the club for years. Had he been a "regular", the club may not have been so patient. It's getting silly now.
Talk of him being pushed too soon with too many expectations will be worthless if he's making the wages demands of a player with far more experience....became then he WILL be expected to step up immediately and perform for his money.

I have more hope with Delph, I'm about 50/50. Very little hope on Vlaar though.
Back to Grealish - I just want him to sign. People go on about Albrighton, Bannan, Clark, Delfouneso, The Moore's, whatever... All players that looked good but failed to live to the hype.
Grealish though, the kid is different class to any of them. Gareth Barry, Dwight Yorke, Gary Cahill - players I saw around his age, are the group that Grealish will belong in, not the previous lot I mentioned. I'm completely convinced. I could be wrong, he may make me look a twat, but I have no reservations on Grealish at all.

Well, if it comes off, you'll have earned an honorary ITK badge. If that doesn't get either Senderbos's missus or Baker's mouth into bed, nothing will

Re: Jack Grealish
I think Grealish has gone as far as he will. It would have been better for him to have a couple of seasons at a lower league club to toughen him up a bit. He has been plunged in too quickly.

What the actual fuck? Grealish has played first team football for how many minutes and he's "gone as far a he will"?
Gobsmacking.

They will ruin him unless he gets more experience first. It is a gamble what they are doing. He may excel on the training ground but how many starts is his going to get with us and how long will it take him to realise his potential at 15 minute sub appearances getting the shit kicked out of him?

Re: Jack Grealish
And you don't get the shit kicked out of you by cloggers in the lower leagues? You know, the ones where he was highly praised and claimed as the next Chris Waddle?
So he's gone through the academy, been out on loan, played for the reserves, more loans, a smattering of first team experience (where he put half the other team on yellow cards in a few short minutes and actually laughed at their attempts to kick him off the park) and now it's been decided that he's gone as far as he will.
Brilliant. I'm not sure if you're on the wind up or being serious.

Re: Jack Grealish
Going to the lower league is all about toughening you up physically, playing in the Prem is about getting up to speed with the game.
Jack has served his time in the lower leagues, now he need the chance to get up to speed with the prem. If he's good enough, he's old enough, no need to keep holding him back

Don't disagree. It is a fine balance. I don't trust Lambert to judge it right. The Man City game was not a time or place for anyone's benefit. Horses for courses. We can't afford him to be another Fonz or Moore brothers. Our pitiful performance in the League Cup has robbed Grealish of the ideal place to get time on the pitch, relatively free of pressure.
