@NARLA24 , has your man at BMH seen any evidence of the new badge design being ushered in? I'm really intrigued if Tony has put the brakes on that. If he has, he's either got ideas of his own that probably won't be implemented this off-season or he's not interested in spending the millions we've seen quoted on something thats not exactly groudbreaking.

If it was me, I'd change the re-design.
(a) it'd be MY design not Tom Fox/Werijtna's.
(b) I'd take 12 months to get it right
(c) I'd launch it to celebrate our promotion.
(d) why spend money putting it up all over a stadium that's getting a facelift?

[Synopsis]

I had a little play on Companies House page earlier, wondering if looking at past roles of various people may throw some light on this elusive 'Hook' character.
What I did find was that the address associated with Recon Sports (Hand Court, Holborn WC1V 6JF) is/has been used by quite a few other companies. Is this usual practice?

Anyway, when I put the address in, the website threw out a list of companies using it.
There's a company called Vaxeal Ltd recently set up, by the very same Alan John Frank Hitchins that set up Recon Sports. Interestingly, one of the officers listed is Gorrie Whitsun Secretarial Services, who are also involved with Recon Sports.

Can anyone with an understanding of these things explain to a numpty like me what it means? Does it mean anything? Is it shady or completely normal practice? Mr Hitchins is a Vet by all accounts. His other business interests are connected to a Vet's practice in Chislehurst, Kent.

This is pretty much normal.  It's super easy to set up a "company", you just need to register, and have £1 in share capital.  (It used to cost about £20 to register, but that was 10 years ago or more...)

Anyway, I expect that the bloke who resigned, Hitchins, is an accountant who sets up companies for other people, so they don't have to bother with the paperwork etc.  He sets them up, adds the new board and then resigns.  Since the new board haven't done anything at all, the company "Recon Ltd" is worth £1, and doesn't have any assets / liabilities.  

If the takeover is approved, I expect it gets pumped with money and then buys Aston Villa, or something like that.

Hitchins is not an accountant, he is a qualified and practicing vet by all accounts, who has had a massive number of companies, over an equally ridiculous number of industries most of which have either gone bust owing massive amounts of money or were struck off companies house for failure to post accounts. Probably a member of the same homosexual fraternal brotherhood that Samuelson etc are in, white gloves and aprons all round

Aston Villa ’s new owners are planning to expand and buy up to four franchises to make the club a global force, writes Neil Moxley in the Sunday People .

Chinese businessman Dr Tony Xia is determined to mirror Manchester City’s franchise project, and is actively looking to invest in several key markets.

The multi-millionaire – whose purchase of fallen European champions Villa should be confirmed this week – wants to press ahead and buy other clubs.

He has identified India, America, Australia and his homeland as the areas in which Villa will be represented.

Man City have several franchises operating under the banner of the City Football Group – with MLS side New York City and Melbourne City FC of the A-League the most prominent.

However, they also have representation in Japan and other commercial activities plus Chinese investment in the past 12 months.

Xia’s wealth has been disputed, but sources close to him have indicated that he has a substantial sum to invest in bringing Villa back to life.

Although his purchase of the club has not yet been ratified by the Football League, it is understood that this will finally happen in the coming seven days.

Xia has handed over the purchase price to former owner Randy Lerner and given proof of two years’ funding to satisfy the authorities.

How do you know it is Man City scale ? (not saying you're wrong - but what are you basing that on ?)

Best I can possibly see is funding on the scale of the early Lerner years.
