I asked him during call about getting extra discount or rebate if we didn't get promoted but he just kept saying the takeover was close and was going to be a very exciting time for Aston villa and they wouldn't give additional discount as they think that once the takeover goes through loads of fans will want season tickets

All the evidence seems to point to something momentous happening in the next few days.

Thinking it might be worth a speculative tenner on promotion next year followed by a top four finish the following year, before the news breaks.

Anyone got any idea what odds are available?

anyway, been to chester zoo today, no one knew nothing up there about takeover, except, and I'm telling ya this guy was definitely ITK, his name was carlos, he's a chimpanzee and he says hollis is using the Chinese as leverage and its worked, the deal is done, its Ellison, jimbop was right all along, the manager is signed, its mourihno and he's bringing rowett as his assistant. it will be announced during brittains got talent on Saturday.

If we were going to be bought by the Chinese government in effect, then surely it would be done through one of the big state owned companies, apparently the top 12 companies in China are all state owned. Wouldn't really makes sense to do it through Rui Lang as far as I can tell.

Fuck me today was mental driving Mrs DK to the delivery suite got stuck in traffic on the M5 got there and 3 minutes on the ward little girl arrives. Time on car park ticket 09.01 time of birth 09.07!!
Still meant we weren't there long. Back home at 2pm in time for takeover announcement - oh, OK,  no announcement then........might need an extra one of Joppe''s beers. Almost called her baby Texaco as I nearly pulled into the services to deliver her myself haha.

Without entering into a quote'athon, why would the Chinese pick a relegated EPL team to show their ambition?  If they wanted to show that they can make greatness of anything, they would have picked Rushden & Diamonds or some other shite.

The only half feasible story would be that they like our lion crest or club colours due to some typical chinese mumbo jumbo superstition.

It's unthinkable and fucking halfwitted to think the Chinese government has any interest in a AVFC takeover. And why would they in that case be interested in WBA first. Makes no sense
