I'm nervous about this one, which is an improvement on prior to Christmas when I was becoming disinterested.
I 'd rather be nervous than disinterested .... Up The Villa!!!!

Re: Arsenal v Aston Villa
I could be wrong but I don't think we've lost when scoring first at the Emirates? That's off the top of my head but without looking into it I'm not 100% sure.

Is it just me or does the sight of Richardson and cleverley starting with Westwood and cissokho on the bench drain any feeling of optimism that we may have had.

The gulf in class and pace of play is frightening. If the floodlights were on we wouldn't even be keeping up with the shadows!

Re: Arsenal v Aston Villa
Why wait until we're playing Arsenal to try to take it to our opponents? Arsenal ripped us apart that half and could have been 5/6 - 0 up. We've looked more threatening than against any other Premier League team, but we now look more likely to concede than score.
Sanchez is too lazy with this distribution and Ozil & Co nearly made us pay a couple of times. Gil has looked excellent, along with Delph.

To many Villa players showing poor touch and technique. Sanchez appears to be playing with an oval ball, Hutton and Richardson have the touch of an elephant, and Benteke is still getting nothing on the floor. We're very lucky to be only 1-0 down.
Still, there's always the second half .... come on you Villa boys!

Re: Arsenal v Aston Villa
I'm not surprised Weimann missed as he hasn't had many chances like that lately. Play him there more and he'll start to take those chances. Second half put him there with Benteke and get them the ball. Width from both flanks so get Sinclair on because they're terrified of Gil's delivery. I'll have to wait til the 60th minute for any changes though, I know

What's going on out there? Has Lambert told them "Damn the torpedoes, we're going to score this game, no matter how many we concede?"

Sell that bold sugarbag Guzan, sick of him pulling his arms back and letting sugarbags score!

Looks very much like it.
So frustrating - the simple solution is to get rid of Lambert but can't see that happening, especially if some fans continue to support him. I just don't get it, is their love for Lambert greater than their love for the Villa?

Looks like the 'abject loss' voters have it.
Bit of a no brainer really.
