It's all ok provided we replace him well.

At the end of the day he is a good player no matter how much we are maybe a little annoyed to see him go to that place... Says everything you need to know about him though doesn't it & lets be honest here he was atrocious for the majority of last season.

Yes in the end his goals saved us but if he had played like he wanted to be here for the first 3/4 of the season we wouldn't have needed him to do that anyway... We survived without him for over a century & i'm sure we'll survive without him again....So long as we replace him with someone decent that is which is the bit which worries me Christian Benteke - Page 11 50815218

Guys, I won't say how I know this but some people will know on here that the info I have been passed previously by this person has been proved 100% accurate.
Benteke is going to Liverpool....in fact, he is going there today.

This does not indicate a done deal, it seems they are there for talks. Time will tell if the deal happens, but rest assured....he is going there today.

I know it has been posted on Twitter that he isn't even in the country....well he will be early this afternoon, that's all I'm saying!!

My guess is that we have tied up deals for replacements already, but that's a hunch and based only on knowing the players that have been into BMH in recent weeks. This could be totally wrong.

If he's going for talks, would suggest the £32.5m has been met, which is a great deal for Aston Villa FC.

Benteke has been huge for us for three seasons, but we can replace his numbers, in my opinion, with good / better signings moving forward.

I don't think Benteke is top, top class. But we're seemingly getting top class money for him.

He's got to be replaced, though. Whether that's one man, or three men, we need to replace his impact.

Quite ironic that most of yesterday was spent slagging off the Birmingham Mail and all of it's reporters as knowing jack shit about what is going on.....and then their article is pulled as 'proof', because we don't want to hear it!!

The Mail may well be right...perhaps the deal hasn't been struck....YET!

I have to say, the Talksport reporter seemed pretty certain it would happen today or very soon. It wasn't for a call-in show, trying to drum up interest, it was an on-site report with no need for sensationalism. It's July, there'll be plenty of moves to talk about.

As always though, I treat all Villa speculation as just that.
