If Lerner turned around and confirmed we'd got Vlaar and Delph signed up to new 3/4 year contracts it would distract from the other problems at the club. BUT at least it would be something on the long list sorted out

Going to the conversation last night and what the Villa means and better supporter than you bolloxs.
My last game was those Spud wankers birthday party at White Hart Lane, where we came so so close to spoiling it. I have been in the Middle East since working, and now live in Thailand when not working and have not returned to the UK since that game, prior to that I was living in Slough, went to a good number of games home and away,away always being more fun but have not had a season ticket for donkeys years, 45 years supporting thou. Would I go if I lived in Brum / Slough, the answer would probably be yes, but mainly to meet up with mates who you might only get to see down the Villa, as to me it has always been as much about social gatherings, that saw us through various divisions, good and bad times, if I just want to watch a winning team, I could become a wanky Brummy Red, no fucking thanks.
As for wishing relegation on the club, I am not sure people living in the UK appreciate, outside of the UK there is the Premier league, then you are talking 1970's football coverage for the rest, you drop of the map completely if you drop out of the prem, scary but true. For Aston Villa football club getting relegated would be a disaster, something that no one should be allowed to tempt fate with, especially that sceptic tank.
The other area, that who would we get if he did sack Lambert, or the bloke woke up in a house with some mirrors in, so he has to look at the disgrace that he calls himself Aston Villa manager and did the right thing and fuuucckkked off, Fulham managed to find how many people last year to take the job, even what the sceptic has done over the last 4 years, there would be a cue down Witton Lane, ok they probably could not identify a good one,k but there would be plenty.
