Should be back with us in my opinion, given the amount we paid for him, and are paying him in wages, would be a good fit too, with the way we've been playing recently.
I am not certain, we have a balanced and happy squad at the moment we don't want anything to upset that, although McCormack shows that he will score goals as he makes it look so effortless!

I take it the above report was wrong?
Yes, apparently there are various degrees of ACL injuries and his was a very minor one.

Ah that explains it. still wouldn't have him anywhere near our team. I hope that his form makes him a more attractive sale to someone else.
Still think the bloke is an absolute sugarbag and for me it was telling that when we offered to loan him back to Fulham and it was put to the dressing room, his former team mates said no.

I agree if we could get any sort of fee I would sell him.

Re: Ross McCormack.
He's not very reliable at all, constantly getting things wrong, but Simon Jones of the daily mail, says that we've been unable to agree a loan extension with Melbourne so he will be coming back to us, but Bruce has no intention of using him. LA Galaxy, Orlando City and Colorado Rapids all supposedly interested.

Re: Ross McCormack.
"McCormack conceded that his future at promotion-chasing Villa was all but over under manager Steve Bruce.
“If (a City deal can’t be sorted) then I’ll go back to Villa and probably have to look for another loan move as well,’’ he said.
“It’s not my decision but I think it’s probably been made clear that I won’t be around the team there which is fine, that’s football, that’s what happens.”

Yes, there is talk of him and Elphick going to Leeds, however true that is?

Re: Ross McCormack.
A few people have suggested that McCormack can't play for anyone else as normally you're only allowed to play for two clubs in one season, if that's true he's either going to have to stay with us, or go back to Melbourne. Besides I don't think there's any chance that we'd sell him to Leeds anyway, they're only seven points behind us.

Re: Ross McCormack.
Given a two week holiday, absolutely no idea why except to get him out of the way as he has nowhere to go now!
Villa are stuck with him till at least the end of the season so this holiday might turn into three months!
What a sorry state of affairs and unfortunately sums up McCormack who as he freely admits has the security of a two and a half years contract to idle his life away!

Re: Ross McCormack.
Yeah we're definitely stuck with him as A league rules prevent him going back and domestic ones prevent him loaning anywhere else.

Re: Ross McCormack.
Aston Villa can confirm Ross McCormack is to leave the club after signing a variation agreement.
The club would like to wish Ross well for the future.

It's an amendment to the original scope of or terms of contract that is mutually agreed. I assume something along the lines of "we don't want you any more but we will pay what we agree between us you are owed".
