Ross McCormack has upset a lot of people, not just Bruce!

@AstonThriller the Wigan game was before the transfer window closed!

Off to Australia on loan, we are led to believe. Assumes he will be able to get through the gate at Departures.

I think that's clever business. Given all the rumours about a potential drink problem, let's send him to a country that is hardly interested in booze. Oh. Hang on a minute.....

LOL McCognac is going to love playing on a Saturday afternoon in December or January when it is 45 in the shade!!

You had better get down the Suncorp and give him grief when they play Brizzie @Trotters

More b*ll*cks sprouted by Bruce concerning no clubs coming in for him, deals (probably loan but not certain) were finalised with 2 clubs which McCormack turned down out of hand, hence why he is not flavour of the month!

Best for all concerned to be honest, probably won't ultimately get a penny for him!

Can a player turn a loan deal down like that? If so that's a very weak contract. I can't believe something like the employing club having control over where a player is loaned to would be bread and butter stuff and therefore written into any generic contract, let alone a specific one. Then when a player refuses they'd be breaking the terms of their contract and grounds for dismissal without compo.
I'm surprised if that's not the case.

I dare say there is provided it's local. Telling him he has to uproot his family relocate to the other side of the planet is a bit much. What's to stop a spiteful manager insisting a player has to go out loan to Fallujah FC?

Whilst Oz a great place to live, it's where footballers come to die and I doubt he wants his career to finish.

Don't think he gives a toss about his career anymore. He is now completely minted thanks to the Villa and if sensible, need never work another day in his life simply by sitting out his contract and meeting its terms to the letter. That's the ridiculous position we are in.

Ah, maybe I wasn't clear trotters, I was referring to the 2 clubs that were being referred to above, which i assumed were English, not his proposed Oz move i agree that would be too much to demand.

Unfortunately you can't force them to accept the loan if they don't want too, which is fair enough to be honest in a normal situation.
McCormack holds all the cards as very few professional players are ever sacked as clubs are unwilling to just throw the value of the player away which again is understandably.

I still think it's telling that when we raised the possibility of a return to Fulham, the management put it to the payers and they said "No".

Gotta be some kind of twat for a whole set of players to not want you back.

Suspended by Melbourne City... for turning up 'exceptionally' late for training.

What a cowboy. I've heard it suggested he has a problem with the drink. Maybe there's something in that.

He certainly has major problems and it is probably best for Villa to just right it off and ditch him!
