January '17 Transfer Window

As mentioned above Pat Murphy has said we're interested in Hourihane. That doesn't make it certain, but I gather, he's one of the more reliable journalists. I do think it would take some doing to attract him here though as I'd imagine he'd have plenty of offers

I see Palace want to sell Benteke, pity we're not in a position to attract him here at the moment, strange the way is career has gone.

Agreed about Benteke - RHM should look at that and think - greener grass? Not always.

I honestly thought he'd end up somewhere like Dortmund or Chelsea and have reputation as one of the best in Europe. Will probably end up somewhere like Stoke or Albion now.

Ayew's being linked to China again now, at this rate we'll have no strikers left.

I know it is old hat now but Bruce has said that we have SIX centre forwards and so far we have only got rid of Gestede, so it would appear that it is not a problem!

To me it seems like a problem that we aren't scoring enough goals but I am not a professional football manager!

Well Ayew might be leaving and he isn't really a striker anyway. So that would leave us with McCormack, Kodjia and Agbonlahor, as our senior strikers. And I don't think Bruce rates Agbonlahor as much as he makes out, a lot of it's just talk I feel, to try and get the best out him whilst we don't have much choice but to use him during the AFCONs.

A new striker would be useful anyway but if we lose Ayew, I feel it would be a must. And for what it's worth Ayew apparently had a medical before he left for Africa, in the event of any teams bidding for him, so if true, sounds like he's open to a move.

WTF is it with our club that when we get young talent they are arseholes. Don't see Spurs or Southampton or most other clubs for that matter suffering the same fate.

We've got "Super Jack" still dining out on a cup semi final, and just in our hour of need, we've got Audrey Hepburn playing "pig-at-the-trough".

Feck me, what happened to humility, pride and love for the club that nurtured you and respect for the fans that flock to the ground each week, despite the weather, despite personal financial and family circumstances, despite all the evidence of what's gone before  - that if it had a voice - would scream "Are you mental??!!"

It's about time these fuckers stood up and took account of themselves, repaid the debt they owe, not just because of the pastoral care and physical development they've enjoyed, not just because of the huge wages they receive, but BECAUSE THEY FUCKING WELL OWE US!!!

Ayew to China doesn't surprise me and I think we could see a lot of that happening, for over inflated prices. It's a simple and great way for Xia to beat ffp rules.

I'd be over the moon if we get Landsbury and also see Westwood leaving.

And @De Kuip's comment above about our young talent being arseholes is spot on. I think the coaches are caught in a position where they know they have a talent and don't want to push them so hard that they push them out the door. So they get treated like the "assets" they are and have sunshine blown up their arseholes. I suspect this would be much-amplified with us being in this shit league where's there's a constant threat that our better prospects can be poached by premier league sides.

It just seems accepted that the top PL clubs get whatever they want and it stinks!

Now watch Westwood go and perform like Messi for them

If I was him I'd gamble on the asking price.
Match his wages.
£20 million release clause if not promoted. Someone would take him for that even after 5 months in championship.
