I assume that if we get all the supposed targets we're after then our team could look something like:Johnstone
Bree Chester Baker Amavi
Lansbury Hourihane
Adomah McCormack Kodjia
Rhodes
Now if you think about the bench it doesn't look like too bad a squad. Make it happen Dr!!!

Therefore I really hope that Bruce has some 'rabbits' up his sleeve as people will be expecting it!
I think this is a massive point! If we don't get Hourihane, Lansbury and at least one other very decent signing then the disappointment will be huge! Maybe the problem lies with other chairmen or managers or agents but who cares? The longer it drags, the more the expectation that it'll be finalised. And a different name now will surely be a downer?

I prefer this team, more balanced with a little more pace.

I would like to see how McCormack performs in @Dazzle's team while Kodjia is away but that seems a good lineup to me!

Love that team and the formation, Dazzle. I think Jedinackered would be twice the player if his job was simply to break up the opposition's play then offload the ball to someone talented.
Stats (and maybe @AstonThriller can verify this) say that Jedi passes the ball almost twice as much as any of our other midfielders. That's simply unfair on a player like him.

Aston Villa are at the head of the queue to sign in-demand Bury youngster Jacob Bedeau, according to the Bury Times.
Both Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have been monitoring the 17-year old’s progress at Gigg Lane, however the Villans look very likely to land the highly-rated starlet.
Bedeau is a defender by trade, has also been attracting the likes of Premier League outfits Man City and Man Utd, after showing glimpses of his potential in 7 appearances for the Shakers this term.
The Lancashire club are said to be holding out for a seven-figure fee for the 17-year old, however the report claims that Villa have opened the bidding for the player, with a substantial offer for the talented teen

Re: January '17 Transfer Window
I know this is off topic, but I just wanted to say "Bristol City you fucking wankers!!!"
Getting through to the next round of the cup means that the match for Sat 27th that I've bought tickets for and had all weekend to fit in the drive up to Brum and back, plus a couple of family visits, is now on Tuesday 28th Feb.
You utter utter sugarbags, now I have to drive from Newton Abbot to VP and back on a Tuesday night, with my lad who has school the next day.
I wouldn't mind but I had the choice of the Preston or the Bristol game and went for the latter as I wanted to see us get revenge for their place.
I'm facking seeeeeeething!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All this talk may well be true but I have to laugh as Lansbury was supposed to have been at BMH last week having a medical and now surprise, surprise he is supposedly back at BMH having a medical!

I'm assuming that last week he was discussing personal terms. I doubt there's any point booking a medical for a player if you cant agree for them to join in the first place. The hold up between now and then may be down to Lansbury having to visit other clubs to discuss terms if NFFC have accepted other offers which met their asking price ( as well as an ownership deal falling through).

Re: January '17 Transfer Window
Even the BBC are reporting the Lansbury thing now so I suspect it's true this time.
Also the guy who tweeted yesterday about the medical today, has said that there are another two booked for over the weekend.

In days gone by you use to agree personal details and have the medical at the same time but at the end of the day does it really matter as long as the deal ultimately gets done!

Re: January '17 Transfer Window
Both the above mentioned teams should be able to smash this league to pieces...........but we need to get the cancer/losers out, we all know who they are, how long before Xia starts scratching his head with negative thoughts and a realisation that his dream is impossible.
A happy squad is key, how much damage has Payet done to WHU, they've become shite overnight, CANCER (apologies for using this example)!
RANT RANT RANT, shut the feck up 4BetLite you moaning git!
I want happy competent specialists for every position and a coach that can get them to play together............. couldn't give a rats ass who they are or where they are from.

Re: January '17 Transfer Window
A lot of rumours regarding Hourihane on twitter at the moment. That 'avtransfers1' account which is supposedly pretty reliable has said that his medical for this weekend has been cancelled, daily mail are saying we've had £1M bid accepted and John Percy has he should be joining Villa but a few other clubs have come in late for him.
