Thing is, if they want to capitalise on TV revenue, why in gods name wait until we go down before buying? Makes no sense!!

They will be looking at Tottenham or similar surely?

Well, chinese investors are thinking long term, 10-20 years from now.... I wouldn`t be suprised if Villa were to play a role in Chinas WC bid in 2030... They have to pay 70-80 mill for a huge english club. It really is a sweet deal when you think about it...

Big ambitious owner takes us over appoints Moyes as manager to rebuild the club over the next couple of years to get us back stabilised in the top division then discard Moyes for Mourinho/Mancin/Pellegrini type manager and go for the Champs League and title, simples!

LOL Trotters the odd's are extremely high in fact now you have mentioned it they will also say ''on sites around the net Jack Ma is buying Villa'' be nice for one of these journo's for once to get some real info regarding takeover we don't know about like who are the interested parties and how far along the deals are, but i guess asking a journo to do there job is like asking a politician to stop bullshittin!

been told through a friend of my old dear that her daughter is one of the lawyers for lerner and he's saying he doesn't want to sell to a consortium and is struggling to find a buyer.

Believeable and Plausable, Think Lerner would sell to a consortuim though if thats all that came in, and no moneyman individual such as Ellision for example.

Lerner knows the club has zero future under him, and just costs him money...

@"Olof Melberg" He doesn't really have a choice does he? If he fails to sell, then the club will continue to reduce in value as it inevitably tumbles down the Championship toward League 1 or he throws tens of millions at it.

And neither of those scenarios will interest him.

Anyone in a position to know anything about the deal will have signed None Disclosure Agreements. And if they break one of those, then I gather they can end up in big trouble indeed. So I don't think lawyer would be spouting of details, or at least they shouldn't, lol.

True, but why wait, Why not just already buy a PL club, or better yet, buy one thats newly promoted this year, Burnley? Boro? Brighton? whichever of the 2 go up automaticley to tap into this big PL deal that starts next season, why Bungle around with Villa for a year or 2 trying to get back?

But how do you go about finding out who leaked it? A 71 year old lady at a big legal firm...gotta be at least two of them. lol!
