Seems a bit like arguing whether a lot of the younger people from our diverse culture are English or Indian/Chinese/Irish/Jamaican/Polish etc.
All seems much of a muchness to me, and very very little to argue about, ha!
Halfway between the two is, what? Bulgaria?
So we'll say he's Bulgarian and was recommended by Petrov. Now it's all coming together.
LMAO!!! Game Set & Match....TROTTERS

You can be pedantic all you want but he was Born by 2 Turkish Parents and was bred by 2 Turkish parents thus he is Turkish :Dlol this is getting silly now anyway lets move on and Yes I was born in Brazil just to confirm that as a fact.
I was born to two English parents, brought up by the same, spent my formative years in England yet consider myself Australian.
So unless we ask the man himself, we'll have to settle on Bulgarian.

Turkish connection? Yakin is more Swiss than Turkish.
A manager under contract at another club would not visit a another clubs training ground for a potential job.
He is a born a bred Turk how you can establish a more Swiss connection astounds me.
Well no he's a born and bred Swiss raised by Turkish patents.
I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil doesn't mean I am Brazilian - Just saying

To be fair I really don't care where he's from or what he identifies as. Swiss, Turkish, Zimbabwean or Chinese I don't care!
It's more the fact about that Turkish connection comment - it just feels to me someone seeing the name and making up a story.

I have to admit that the downside to him is that he's constantly being referred to as "him".
Maybe it's just me but I forget his name after 30 seconds.
Hakin Sakin? Yakin Wakin? Murat Borat?

Where's Dennis Wise?
Bielsa has been mentioned? That's wishful thinking. Mancini? Where'd that come from.
I dunno who Gaultier is other than a bloke who makes perfume.
If that's the definitive list I'll pop it up but I'm stunned that I've missed some of those names. Then again, my memory is shit.
Also, my memory is shit.

cortese
I read an article by cortese the ex saints DOF. He said he would be back at southampton with another premiership club next season now i may have it wrong but with villa having signing youngsters of which i think two are from southampton, someone has to be working on these deals. Maybe just maybe mr cortese will become DOF at villa park with a manager working with him long shot but just a thought..... First post to guys.

French media (L'Equippe I think) reported that we had been in contact about Saint-Étienne manager Christophe Galtier last week I believe. Many have mentioned there 'wish' lists to include Bielsa and Mancini although I agree they are somewhat wishful thinking. As for Dennis Wise, well need I really say any more on that?

Academy players we brought in a couple of months ago, so not sure it's relevant re a takeover. Fwiw I've heard that there won't be any managerial announcements (other than Lambo packing his bags) next week (not that I'm accusing Keyser of making it up, just differing info).

Tom Legget, an 18 year old Right Back who made 4 Apps in the u21 league this season for us and Isaac Nehemie an 18 year old Left Back who's made 3 apps in the U21 league for us.

That would be ironic as I felt Houllier could have been moved upstairs to DoF with McAllister made manager. It would have been a damn sight better than what we ended up with.

Klinsmann, Mancini or Yakin from this list, I would also like De Boer.Trotters wrote:villashrew wrote:Murat YakinTrotters wrote:villashrew wrote:Can the mods add a poll to this thread with the 10 most likely/talked about options?

Klinsmann has proven himself at International level, still not done much on the club side but has a positive approach and seems ahead of the curve.
Mancini has done it all before with City, he bought a new team to match the new owners and was successful, I know he isn't a popular character with everyone but he played attacking winning football
Yakin is the risky choice, he is going to play attractive football and will improve the team but can he handle a big job (you will have to guess). De Boer I would put in a similar category , but he is a bigger name in Football and with that comes respect.
Beilsa is asking too much.
If I could choose anyone it would be Hiddink but again probably too much to ask.
