Site changes: please read
Hi all,
We've made a couple of changes for your convenience.
1. The most obvious is the countdown timer to the next game in the info-bar to the right. I promise you this will get set wrong at some stage either from our end or Sky moving the game. Don't yell...just let us know. :)
2. The next one I really like: if you only want to quote a small part of someone's post, simply highlight the relevant part and hit the QUOTE button....it will just quote the bit you want. EDIT - I've added a QUICK QUOTE button alongside the regular QUOTE button so use whatever is relevant.
3. Partially written posts should automatically save so if your browser crashes or you accidentally navigate away from that page, if the page refreshes itself whilst you're away grabbing a link or anything else silly, that post you spent an hour writing SHOULD still be there!
Enjoy!
Trotters.

Ta.
I've just added the AVFC RSS feed to the side-bar too, so any latest news from the official site can be seen there.

Re: Site changes: please read
I'm using Safari and am having issues with the new changes.
1) Quoting no longer works for me in quick reply. I'll press the quote button, and it transfers my cursor to the quick reply box, but none of the code from the quoted post shows up.
2) When I make a long post, leave and return to the site later, the saved draft of my last post is still saved in my quick reply box and I now need to delete it before I can make a new post. It gets tiresome, especially on my mobile.

1. I'll test this on safari at work and let you know how it goes for me.
2. That's the point of the change. it prevents you from losing long posts. Once you've deleted it though, the reply box should be empty on your return. Again, I'll check at work.
Thanks for letting me know.

Quote function doesn't work for me either. I've just tested by quoting your reply to KMITCH. I'm using Firefox 34.0.5 on W8.1, if it helps.

The select text feature works, though.

So if I select a whole post to quote by highlighting it, it works like the previous quote feature.

Yes. But in that case, just hit QUOTE as per usual. No need to highlight.

Huh? Am I being a bit Gabby or are you? That was the point I made in my first post, hitting QUOTE doesn't quote anything, it just drops the cursor into the typing entry box but doesn't pull in any text.
I've just hit QUOTE from within your post but none of it is here. Were I to highlight some or all of your text, it does copy and paste when I hit QUOTE.

No, it's definitely ME that's being a bit Gabby.
You're right...the plain old QUOTE button isn't working properly.
Or rather, it's not working on mobile devices (seems to work on full sized computers ok).
Leave it with me and I shall look into this asap possible. :)

Nope, I click quote and nothing happens. Have to highlight text for it to work at all

Right, thanks for bringing this up lads.
I've added an EXTRA quote button now called (oddly enough) "QUICK QUOTE".
I'll amend the original post to prevent confusion for anyone reading the first post and going no further.
Thanks again! :)

Re: Site changes: please read
When I write a post and someone else posts in the meantime, I then have to hit 'Send' again and it posts what I've written. It leaves all the text in the box you write in too, so I have to delete that every time before writing in it again. A glitch somewhere?
