Site changes

Hi all,

You've likely noticed a few changes to freshen the place up. There's still a few tweaks but I'll get those done tomorrow.

1. The background on the whole site has been brightened a little.
2. The baby blue backing on each post has made way for a very light grey.
3. The profile boxes (with your avatars and details) have been changed a bit and I've added online/offline notifications.
4. Some new QUOTE, EDIT, etc buttons.
5. The countdown clock (that was introduced a couple of weeks back)

If you hate them, give it a day or two to get used to them. If you still hate the changes, speak up.

If there's anything you'd like to see, pop them in here and I'll see what I can do.

Could you change the site so that when I do a quick reply I don't automatically watch the topic for replies? It tends to clog up my e-mails?

Go into your PROFILE (which is in the menu just below the site's header). Click on the NOTIFICATIONS tab. In there you can check off various boxes as to how you want to be notified as to what goes on.

Just uncheck them.

Lovin the new look, certainly a lot better than the drab look of a place like Villa Talk.

No doubt the mods here would have already looked into issues but isn't there some kind of copyright issue with using the club crest? Just a heads up in case it causes problems in the future.

While I'm no expert in copyright law, I'd believe it comes under fair use as you can use or display copyrighted material if you are identifying something - ie Audi can use the name and badge of BMW if they are identifying it as a competitor (if they came higher in a safety test for example). You can also use fair use if it is for review or critism of a copyrighted entity. 

Like I said, not an expert so don't take it as gospel, but I think it would be kosher
