Re: League cup
What an absolutely piss poor way to do the draw, no wonder some teams don't take it seriously if the FA can't.

Villa - Home
Blues - Home
Baggies - Home
Wolves - Home
Walsall - Home
Oh the filth will love this over a Tuesday and Wednesday!! I'm assuming they'll stick Blues and Albion on a different day to us?

I've got a strong feeling we will draw Small Heath in the next round. Assuming we both get through this one of course!

And TS would have the players bang up for it. I feel like Tim loves the derby atmospheres

Are we creating some sort of a record for consecutive home cup draws?

Re: League cup
I only wish it was being played in mid November so I could go watch it when I'm over.
We will tear them apart.
Thank fuck Lambert isn't in charge (then again, we'd not have got past the first hurdle so a moot point)

My 12 year old son has requested that we go, it would mean him having to bunk off school for the afternoon, he has it all planned, even down to what and when to tell his mother. Devious little sod, quite proud of him really.

Re: League cup
When I was 12, my school Holte gave us 2nd year(year eight) students free tickets to go to Villa Park to watch a match. some of their coaches used to come and teach us football at school and thought it would be a good idea to watch a game first hand rather than just a Villa Park tour. the game was v Birmingham in the Full Members Cup in November 1988. we won 6-0.
Does anyone remember the house in Trinity Road that the owner had painted in claret and blue?

He goes to a school in Lambeth and is the only Villa fan, surrounded by Gooners, Chelski and Stripey Nigel Palace fans. Good football team though, Clyne and Chalobah went there.
He stood his ground after the Cup Final, I brought him up well.

Re: League cup
So does his plan involve stories of aliens, kidnapping/Liam Neeson, time travel or extremely early-onset alzheimers and he simply thought he lived in Aston and caught the bus there?

I think the biggest question is: who will Craig Gardner support?

It is all in the timing, I have to go to school at lunchtime and tell his teachers that we have a late cancellation orthodontic appointment, apparently this is tried and tested and will work, and we have to leave immediately.
We then drive up to his Grandma's in Solihull for some tea, he will do his homework in the car.
We then ring mummy at about 6ish, but we have to do that away from the pub as she might get offended if she hears everyone singing SOTC, tell her that I got last minute tickets from work, that we couldn't refuse or we won't get any more from that source and I would lose my job and he will sleep on the way home. He also told me that whilst he appreciates I won't be able to drink he will happily drink any pints brought for me in order, again, to not offend anyones generosity.
Flawless!
