To be fair and im not saying the rumour is true, the driver would see quite a lot of the inner sanctum with players, manager on those away days and brininging the team to VP so would be a trusted member of the group. You see it with cricket teams who tend to stick with 1 driver and they are more than just the driver of the coach they are a bit of a gofer .... who knows stranger things have happend but i am still expecting an announcement on 6th July to tie in with players getting back fpr pre season

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Update on club ownership

Chairman Jeremy Peace today confirmed that exclusivity has been granted to one party interested in the purchase of West Bromwich Albion Holdings Ltd.
This follows discussions with several interested parties in the wake of his decision earlier this year to consider strategic options for the future development and legacy of the Club.
This process should be completed by the end of this month and in the meantime, the Club wishes to assure supporters preparations for the new season will remain unaffected.
The Chairman, Head Coach Tony Pulis, Chief Executive Mark Jenkins and Richard Garlick, the Director of Football Administration, have met to discuss and progress future transfer targets.
They remain in constant dialogue over the re-shaping of the first-team squad for the 2015/16 Barclays Premier League campaign.

Let this be a warning for any announcement from VP, WBA announced that an announcement was imminent at 10:30am.

After much hype and anticipation from local media, Evening Mail had a "Takeover Live" feature that didn't update from 10:30, twitter went in to meltdown and then 1 1/2 hrs later it is announced that exclusivity has been granted to one party.

Nothing new was learned.

Interesting that their exclusivity is a 4 week period. Does it give us an indication on how these things tend to work?

If so, we should hear something soon?

We never had anyting official like that in regards to exclusivity? Unless I missed something. Was only reported by SSN and the press.

Exactly ... and Bill Howell states that it isnt a sale but as near as you can get to one so we have to take heart with this. we wouldnt have granted exclusivity for a deal to fall through in the latter stages. I really think we will hear something very soon.

Are Albion on the stock exchange as a PLC anyone know and is this why they have had to release the statement where we havent .....

Although we have never had an official statement that we are in exclusivity.

I think we're close, imminent I'd say. Oh and Randy came into the club with a "private media event" perhaps he will leave that way?! Whatever the method, I honestly think we are a matter of days away from our club being sold. Bring on new, exciting times Scarf Waving

You beat me to it Maz. I was just thinking that maybe our second bidder had been told a deal is being completed at AVFC, which has made them revert quickly to option B.

If it's true then I hope for once that Lerner has not been blinded by the need to find someone who shares his "vision" for Villa, and is reverential to our "proud history". I would hate to see RL's peculiar idea of what is best for AVFC blight our future.
