True. If it was Randy's money then I can only imagine its Benteke cash unfortunately.

I'm going to be optimistic here and say that on Tuesday, we will launch the kit, unveil new owners and players along with a Benteke staying statement. Makes sense to do this Tuesday, only open to journos and a day after first training session - session to inform the players that the public will be told next.

IF its Chinese I said this a few weeks ago, Kit launch on the 7th, New Owners unveiled on the 8th "Chinese lucky number 8" Oh and Yellow is deemed - "nourishing, supporting, stabilizing, ripening, grounded, solid, reliability,
sunbeam, warmth, clarity, royalty, good faith, empathy vs. anxiety" further symbolism etc.

IMO IF it was anyone of any genuine note buying WBA I would imagine SSN would have been all over this news conference, Neither them or the BBC has covered this at all...Probably anti-climatic I would imagine but you never know...SAVE THE BEST TILL LAST Very Happy

Lads i know the thought of mystery Chinese folks taking us on sounds very exciting. But lets remember that in recent times several clubs have come under Chinese ownership and they have exactly turned into Man City or PSG have they?

Valencia? Big club already but haven't spent millions upon millions

Sochaux? Nope

ADO Den Haag? Not challenging in Holland!!

And also lets remember Wanda own part of Atletico Madrid and still they are having to sell their top stars to buy.

So just because the Baggies new owners might be Chinese i doesn't mean anything in reality. The proof of their ambitions will be when they actually open the chequebook...

And in closing reports suggest Randy turned them down...Randy may be a lousy owner but there's no way in hell would be turn down mega rich people just so he can hand the club over to "fellow American's"...for me he must have seen both groups capabilities and made his decision accordingly.

All these bids flying in tells me something is afoot tbh!!..why would Randy spend big bucks when a group is said to be doing due diligence? does make sense...i'm hoping the deal is all but done and they've given Tim the authority to start splashing the cash so he doesn't miss his targets.

A guy I work with, his brother drives the coaches for the players to away games. He's just called to say they've been told all staff (players, drivers, general staff etc) will not be working on Tuesday, players will not be training, as there is a meeting that they they are all required to attend. Staff being informed of a takeover maybe?

A few holes though - if he drives coaches for away games - then he wouldn't be working anyway on tuesday ?

The coach driver doesn't work for Aston Villa and will have had no contact with the team since the Cup Final. It's a bit of a tenuous link.
