Their finances are nothing to do with the public, nobody's buisness apart from them and Lerner so we will know nothing, that's just a fact. Media will throw out "They are worth this amount, or that amount" when they are ready. Will only find out how much they are worth should they want us to.

Thing that struck me was the "from Randy Lerner/Reform Acquisitions LLC" line....firstly, I would of thought Lerner would be addressed a little more professionally on such a document...perhaps "Randolph Lerner" or "Mr. R. Lerner", and secondly why add the "Reform Acquisitions" bit?...surely you would just have one or t'other in there?

But then again...I have no knowledge of such documents, just looking at it as man in the street!

Hmmn, it's all a bit odd isn't it! Like others have said that document says the sum total of Jack all! Hardly proof, and then it could just be some guy who is on the outer edge, came across a document on his system which was highlighting a failed bid or something or was old, and due to not having indepth enough knowledge to realise otherwise though he'd found the Golden egg so posted it!.

Or it could be true of course Laughing

I haven't seen the story. But my gut feelings are that a) without even looking at it, is this guy wants a bit of publicity and is declaring some intentions for that reason. I'll probably have a look in a bit out of curiosity.

Even if it is more serious than that, one may suggest that as Arsenal are on the stockmarket, these things have to be out there. Aston Villa are not in such a position.

But also, b) I also feel like you are using that to mock the suggestion that the club is even in negotiations, because you are, rightly or wrongly, taking an almost Comical Ali stance of 'Nothing to see here'. Maybe you don't want to get your hopes up so you can't be disappointed. Maybe you just don't see any evidence. This is all fine, it's your brain/life/opinion, so, whatever, it's your right to take whatever stance you want.

However to mock the takeover news out there is to almost suggest that NDA's are not a part of business takeovers, to suggest that all of the media are absolutely wrong, to suggest that football clubs have never been taken over without much news coming out, to suggest that Lerner likes to do his business in anything other than as much privacy as possible, I think you're more intelligent than to just ignore all of those known truths, so it feels like you've been a bit facetious for the sake of it, and I don't really understand why. Maybe I'm just reading too much into what seemed like a sarcastic comment.

But hell, I hope you're wrong just because I want Villa to have a new, braver, brighter direction, not just because I want you to be wrong Very Happy
