It's being discussed in the takeover thread of all places! I happen to think it could be a decent move as he is a born winner who might instill some grit in our younger players.

Pete colley on sky saying he believes Keane will become assistant manager and the deal will be completed on his return from the Ireland game.

For me it is the first positive development at villa in a while...

At least these piss poor lacking on effort displays should end - Weimann and gabby need to get their act together fast or get Roy's boot up their arses!

He would kick some ass, and that is needed. I can see him and Lambert having a dingdong though. 
How would they understand each other though ? :)

Lambert should definitely let Keane both speak to the media and negotiate transfer/wage budgets with Randy....

Is this a wind up?

I think it may be a bloody wind up to be quite frank.

I hope it's a wind up. The man was a violent thug as a player and has shown absolutely nothing as a manager or coach.

I think he will soon have a bust up with Lambert and Lambert will be sacked, keane will take over as manager and appoint MoN as his assistant.

There's many ways ytou can read this, If he is coming in as Assitant then surely that may signal the takeover is near and we are gonna get some cash to spend, as much as he may be a thug, the bloke has high standards when it come to playing the game and is the reason he struggled as a manager, the teams he managed the players werent up to it and he told them so. i couldnt see him coming in if things are staying the same, the bloke is a winner and we need that mentality down VP, as we have little or none at the moment.

I don't think any of the players would fancy coming off without putting a shift in...
