and that Tim Sherwood positioned himself for the villa job, whilst Lambert was still in post.

TBH the comments about Benteke are more bizzarre - whatever he caertainly looks committed enough now !

Can't stand the bloke, when he came I looked on the brightside that maybe as an "in the trenches" style assistant he could do well. But he walked out overnight, and has added it to his "book" sod him. Wanker.

Keane is a total c*ck, great player, start and end of it for me. Took the job solely to promote his book. I have no respect for the man and I think the public in general have the measure of him. Self serving arse!!

Keane is a joke, just look at his CV, since he was a player.
He lost the players respect, a bit of a bully, one of the reasons he will be no good as a manager. Tim has the full backing of the team, and it shows with the way they are playing.

I had the same opinion, that he might get a good reaction and he did for a few games but it fizzled out then he just walked when the pressure came - glad he is gone - stick with O'Neill they deserve each other both washed up Managers!

Paul’s departure from Villa in February wasn’t a surprise – because of the results. He’ll bounce back and prove himself to be the quality manager I saw at Villa.

The first point - surely that is down to the manager and his assistant (which would be you, Roy!)
The second point - surely the attitude he just mentioned, coupled with the cup disasters and sleepwalking into relegation, added to Sherwood taking the same team and smashing the backdoors off Liverpool, Spurs and Everton with it, completely destroy this point?

The guy is a joke. He literally cannot smile because there is no joy or humanity in him. Just a sad looking gobshite who can't wait to tell everybody how shit they are, without looking in the mirror first.

I'd love to tell him to his face too. Regarding his book though, I doubt I will be able to put it down. At least not until I've finished wiping.

Never wanted the prick anywhere near Villa. He's representative of sad times for us. That's his legacy. You have to have personality to be a good manager and coach.
That's why he sucks at it.

My uncle who's a Man U fan (he's Irish so I guess I forgive him) had this experience with Keane.

Never met him, but idolised him.

Then met him; instantly hated him, still does.

He's one of three people I know who have met him and taken an instant disliking to him, so the common denominator speaks for itself.

Ha ha ha! I think the team and new manager's results speak for themselves. Everyone could see Lambert and Keane were literally dragging us down, no one is going to take anything they say seriously until they go out there and prove we were all wrong.

Another one of fergies fledgings that everyone thought would be a great manager, but hasn't quite lived up to that. Sure being tough and firm are qualities needed for management - but you still need more on top.
