Instead of over investing in players, we should over invest in a quality manager, even if it means making him the highest paid manager in the world, it is needed.

Good call. I like Kodjia a lot but he seems to work best up front on his own. Well, when he's not left stranded because our midfield has blended into the back four. If Bruce wants to play Hogan then either Kodjia needs to learn to work with him or be left out until Bruce wants to play him up front on his own. The only worry there is that we'll have bought yet another good striker, played him incorrectly and he'll end up going the same way as Ayew, Gestede and McCormack.

I wonder how Audrey compares to Robinson (who scored again tonight)? We really weren't prepared for the Championship, were we.

It's impossible to comment on specifics without seeing the game but fuck me we are so very far from okay and it's not a tweak or a bit of bad luck it's major. I mean hugely massively major. Add a manager with a very good championship record. Nothing. Buy players with a very good championship record. Nothing. Add an owner that would move heaven and earth to succeed. Nothing. Add a huge support that fills away ends week after week. Nothing. Add a fabulous ground. Nothing. Add some of the best training facilities in the world. Nothing.

Really? Supporting Villa we can all guarantee getting fucked at least once a week if not twice.

All I feel now is as long as we can keep the points gap from the bottom as is, that'll get us through. There are 5 teams below us before you hit the bottom 3 who hopefully will continue to prop us up.

But that's just about survival til the end of the season which is a barrell I hoped we wouldn't have to stare down for a while. I've been adamantly in the camp of getting a stable, steady finish this season, no real desire to bounce back immediately, but the reality is where on the cusp of being in the thick of it at the wrong end and to be reliant on teams being worse than us really is fuck all to be proud of or excited about.

I don't know where we go from here.

Well 4 months ago I chatted casually to a nice bloke whilst he hacked at my sack turning me into a grape (seedless).
Yesterday was the 16 week all-clear test date and because it had to go off in the post same day, I got out of bed and at 07.21 whilst a 3 year old demanded toast and Paw Patrol on TV,  a 9 month old was screaming cos she had a temperature, my 14 year old was banging on the bathroom door telling me he wanted to use the shower, I had X Tube on my mobile watching some Russian tart getting it in the shitter so I could blank out the mayhem and spaff into a plastic pot ready to send off to the lab and await confirmation that I couldn't procreate ever again. At 07.22 (it was a good porn clip) I emerged triumphant from the bog just as Mrs DK sailed past scowling and asking why I hadn't started the 3 year old''s breakfast. I then got my bike gear on and rode to work in freezing fucking howling rain to recommence a job where no one values me and I'm bored by 10 am.
And I still had a better day than today.
