Match Thread v Barnsley
To save Joppe having to bail us out last minute I've started this weeks match thread nice and early, IMO we will be buoyed up by our recent results and as we need the points to maintain the push to the top I fancy us to be more attack minded, so its 2 nil Villa for me, but I wont say no to a few more goals if they want to have a real go, fill your boots everyone

Re: Match Thread v Barnsley
2-0 for me as well.
We should be atoning for the 1-3 result almost this time last year, and despite Barnsley's creditable performance to hold Wolves nil-nil I think we'll have too much for them in virtually every department. There will never be a better chance for our midfield to influence the game as both Joe Williams (on loan from Everton) who is suspended, and on loan Gary Gardner (ineligible) are notable absentees.
This is a game we have to win if we are to start closing the gap on Cardiff/Derbeh.

Have a feeling this one's got 'after the lord mayor's show' written all over it, seems everyone is too confident, and that's when the complacency sets in. A repeat of the Millwall game yet worse, would not surprise me.

I know saying this is the kiss of death but we really should be beating sides like this at home!
I feel another 'crisis' coming on if we don't, therefore a comfortable 3 - 0 win!

Gardner can't play as he is only on loan. We need to score some goals against someone as we are seriously lagging Derby and, to state the obvious) its easier to make up 5 points than 6!

I thought it was league rules you can't play against your parent club.

52.7 During the period of any Temporary Loan Transfer, a Player shall not play against his Transferor Club without the prior written permission of the Transferor Club (which, if given, must be indicated on the appropriate Temporary Loan Transfer form).

To make things a little more interesting Derby & Bristol drew, so if we go for it tomorrow and other results go for us we could be 3 points off second and closer to top spot.

I'm really interested to see if Bjarnason can keep up the performance at CM. Bruce clearly thinks so, I'm not so sure, but at least we'll find out. He's definately deserved the chance today.

Next goal very important, don't want a repeat of the Sheffield United game.

try the main index, we're quite way down the page as its down as a 16.00 start. Theres about 8 options, some give a Russian comentary some english. Its running the highlights being half time so bear with it. If you get a big advert at the start it goes after about half a minute
