18th in the Championship, there can be no excuse for that, given the money spent.

22 away games without a win. What are the actual odds on that?

I agree, but we have to consider the fact that we have two summers in a row signed a LOT of players. We need time to get it right. They need to gel.
Our losses puts us between playoff and promotion, and we're just two wins from playoff atm. We'll get there.

Nil - Nil. We were lucky to get Nil.
Is it Tactics? Formation? Motivation?
Clueless...... a bit like the performance.

Like it Trotters, but lose next week to Newcastle at home (who were beaten 2-0 by Wolves today at home) then I can see the Villa fans singing this.
Tony Xia drove back to Rome in his Ford Mondeo, took them back the fucking twat, Roberto de Mateo.

Once again its not nice being a Villa fan, but we have to keep our chins up and hope that RDM & his team get it right, we brought in loads of players last year then sacked 2 managers we have brought in more players this year, lets give it a chance we do need a bit of stability, not nice to say or think about but its what we need. PATIENCE, thats the key word I'm afraid, or at least for a few more games.

The highlights are on the Villa site, and a Villa attack appears just once:

Re: Ipswich vs Villa match thread
I've got to admit that Ipswich looked far better than us the last 15 minutes and we were lucky to walk away with a point in the end. But up to the 80 min mark it was pretty even wasn't it? We were shite, but so were Ipswich?? I'm not saying that's a great thing, but surely it's a minor positive that we held one of the better teams down for 80 minutes away, with key players missing.

Re: Ipswich vs Villa match thread
Taken in isolation and before the start of the season this was a fixture I'd have been happy with getting a point from, so I'm not too bothered from that angle. I think it's when viewed in the context of some other frustrating results that it feels more disappointing than it really is. We are going to play poorly a few times this season, if we can do so and grind out a draw like at Ipswich then that's better than the capitulation at both Luton and bristol City. Apart from that we've been okay and I think it's an improving picture. If there's a concern for me it's still the paper thin squad strength, but as I said, point away at ipswich, I'd take happily, it's the ones we've dropped from good positions that means we're not where we all want to be.
