Aston Villa vs MiddlesBrough (2nd Leg) Match Thread
Well, the lads know what they've got to do. Looks like Elmo is out and his replacement will either be Taylor or Bree. A lot of people are down on Taylor but let's not forget that we've actually won fifteen games when he's started, including the 4-1 battering of Wolves, so it's not like he's a total liability. Infact, we've kept thirteen clean sheets with him In the side. So he's actually been in the side for the majority of the wins and clean sheets we've had.
Need calm heads tomorrow. Because the fact is it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
COME ON VILLA!!!

They have to stand up and be counted now, Boro know what they have to do and so should we, get on the front foot from the start, don't hold back and let them have the ball all the time, get in their faces, ask themsleves HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT IT !!!!!!

The disaster would be an early Boro goal. I think bruce will demand safety first for the first 15 minutes.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this 0-0

Good 20 minutes then started looking a bit nervy, no great threat from their forwards at the moment and our defence looking strong again.
Need to bring on Kodjia for Grabban sooner than later, the lad can't jump yet we keep hoofing the ball up to him.

That one was for Ugo, Damian, Steve's mom and dad and Jlloyd.
The battering of the west London pansies on almost their home turf will be for all us long suffering Villa fans.

Was there tonight and we were at it for most if the game i thought. Lucky Johnson stayed on the pitch mind you but a little luck is welcome. Would have been much more pleasant had we scored but job done and i'd rather we kept the goal scoring for Wembley.
It'll obviously be tougher than todays game.

Sorry I'm late for my pennyworth but if anyone cares I thought we bossed it. Final ball lacking (& some stupid yellows) but other than both the handball & the free kick it was fairly comfortable - not to watch tho because despite all that we're talking Villa here!
I wonder what the chances are of getting tickets...

Sales are going well - some people have said we have sold over 30k already (not sure how that works - as they are s ticket holders only)
