Yes. Point is that I think Forestieri is the best striker in the championship. And in any way we can sign him he will improve us. This infers us selling other strikers to afford it.
You on the other hand are talking about replacing McCormack with another striker. And I'm saying it's not needed. You are talking apples and oranges here, but whatever.
Think we both agree on the youth part.

He's probably just guessing, but James Nursey is saying that Forest want Gardner on a permanent deal. So many of our players said to be on the verge of leaving for a while now, it's about time we actually started moving a few on.

A goal scoring winger would be ideal, Tom Lawrence has been mentioned.

Yep, either a winger or a traditional number ten would be brilliant I think. We still haven't brought in an attacking player this summer and I'd be very surprised if we didn't. Especially when we've made a profit this summer with the sale of Veretout.

We already have Grealish. I'm sure it's the position that's going to work best for him, not on the wing (where Green needs to be).

The more options we have in the ten position, the better. Yes, Grealish might excel in that spot one day. But the fact is he hasn't done it there yet.

This is true, in as much as he hasn't yet succeeded as a defender, striker or goalie either. Hopefully Bruce will try him as a 10, but he's not a winger, even though he's quite good at it.

Re: Summer transfer window 2017/18
Anyone honestly think Grealish will ever make it? I would love it if he did and I'm not bashing him here, but until he cuts his hair, hits the gym, grow some hair on his chest, until then I just can't see him getting a career. He has talent in buckets, but the drive, graft and 100% effort isn't there. He would be better off in central midfield as well as Dead said. I've said he should bulk up and play as a deep laying midfielder for ages now. He just doesn't fit in where he wants to play, i.e. CAM. He doesn't have shots, he doesn't have pace, he isn't direct. He is a one step forward three steps backwards fancy pants.
My opinion any way. Now slate me.

Gabby didn't need to bulk up cause he performed without it. Grealish on the other hand can't handle the championship at the moment.

Tish on a season long loan to the MKDons - shame really as I think the lad has potential and could grow with the squad.

To be fair to Jack he did score some belters last season. In-fact, all of his goals (bar Brighton) were of the highest quality.
Rotherham
Bristol
Wigan
Fulham
He just needs to perfect that number ten role better. Find space between the lines, know when and when not to take on a man and also make better runs into the box. I think if he develops properly, he could be an Adam Lallana type of player. And having looked at Lallana's record, he was in league one at Jack's age. So Jack still has time to realise his undoubted potential.

Also, the Express are claiming we're looking at a young German playmaker by the name of Abdelhamid Sabiri. Whilst the Liverpool winger, Sheyi Ojo, has a deal on the table to go to either Us, Fulham, Boro or Derby on loan.
Would be very happy if we got both of these lads through the door tbh.

Being the 'most skilled player on the books' means jack shit, unless he transfers that ability onto the pitch which so far he has failed to do!
I, along with many others hope he does make it, but he needs to change his attitude and take the opportunity that is right in front of him before he realises that it is slipping out of his grasp!
In fact I don't think Bruce will ever start Grealish as Bruce is definitely going for a workman side with 100% endevour!

You got a link to those goals? I remember one belter, but that's the only time I've seen him not strike the ball like a child. But if I'm wrong, fair enough I'll drop my complaint about that aspect.

Give Grealish a run in the side in a settled position with a settled team around him, and watch him do his thing. It's been said before but he averaged a goal every four games last season, and that in one of the most negative teams in the division.
He seems to get singled out for more criticism than any of our other attackers yet apart from Kodjia, they were all pretty much worse than him, maybe they all need to get an haircut as well.

I would be open to that, but I think, and I'm fairly certain, it would show that he isn't up for it. But lets see. A major problem with your argument is that Adomah, McCormack, Green, Gabby (players that scored less than Grealish) all make us look like a better team than Grealish manages. It's not about singling out Grealish, it's about looking at our team and Grealish when he is in the side. The lad has so little bottle it makes us worse at getting into possession. The amount of time he wimps out of challenges is just painful. Half the time it's like playing with 10 men.
But lets hope he gets a proper run and dominates.

Re: Summer transfer window 2017/18
I disagree that Adomah, McCormack, Green and Agbonlahor make us look like a better team than Grealish does; truth is that last season we looked poor whoever was playing for us, Grealish being in the side didn't make us particularly worse, and at least statistically I think he's got better defensive stats than some of the names mentioned above, it's not really his job though to win the ball, we wouldn't complain if Jedinak is not scoring or assisting because that's not his job either.
I think if we're a bit braver with our outlook and attack teams more, we'll see an improvement in not just Grealish's performances but all our attacking players, not saying he'll be a world beater but if he gets the games I think he should be aiming to contribute fifteen goals or more, either by scoring himself or assisting others, of course he also wins penalties and free-kicks.
I like the sound of us signing Ojo though, one thing I think we need more of is a bit more pace in side, so we can better catch teams on the break, when needed.

Re: Summer transfer window 2017/18
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I think only Sherwood played Grealish well, and since then he's been stuck on the left wing. He needs to have the freedom to sit behind Kodjia, drop deep to collect the ball from the defence and link up with Hourihane and Lansbury. I don't see him in a 4-4-2 if Wheelan is playing but with Kodjia on his own it allows us to play the extra attacking midfielder.
I just don't see it happening though!

Gotta assume he isn't keen on being a bench player. Does that mean Suliman will cover for Chester?
