That brings us back to Troy's thread from earlier in the week. Why is this? I've yet to see a compelling explanation for it.
Probably because we know he's not there to hear it in any case

This latest thing with Culverhouse; what you need to appreciate is that Ron Vlaar has had to step in against him. Ron has demonstrated himself to be a fine captain. If he is forced to oppose Culverlouse, it is obvious that the latter must be sacked. His coaching has led to abominable results and now he has added to that by showing himself to be a total knobhead.
Villa must take the easy option and sack him now.

I'm not one for players bitching at managers and coaches. Reading about Moyes at Man Utd and the alleged stick he's getting off the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Giggs, makes me think that, even though he's clearly out of his depth, it's not up to the players to try and force an issue. They're there to play football and be guided by the coaches.
But then I wonder if my feelings there are clouded by my opinions of those players and that Moyes hasn't really had a chance to cement his "way".
Lambert has. More than enough time. An Ron Vlaar, Gabby and Sid are not Rio Ferdinand.
It wasnt that long ago that villa were welcoming new players and the media dept was working overtime with stories of how happy the new signings were and what a brilliant "family" atmosphere it was at villa.
To be honest, I couldn't care if they DON'T all get along brilliantly - I'm sure more than a few hated Alex Ferguson - as long as there are some positive results. There's no upside for us; the manager and coaches can't point to results and claim that, although training might not be much fun and the coaching staff a bunch of bastards but the ends justify the means.
So we really have to back our (senior) players and long-serving coaches on this, don't we?
I'm sure we can assume that Faulkner and Lerner are asking questions but what ARE those questions and, more importantly, what answers are they being given?

Sacking culverhouse is papering over the cracks - the organ grinder with the specs must go too!

Has there been a repetition of the clash between Sid and Culverlouse?

It's been reported elsewhere that it's happened. Whether this is a reoccurrence or an old report, I dunno.

If it's happened a second time he should be shown the door immediately.

It could just be the original story filtering through to another outlet.

My mate hasn't heard anything, although he said he's out for dinner with Grant on Saturday night in London so will see what he can find out then.

Well i hope Malky isn't the replacement, he bought some rubbish at Cardiff, and they were going down anyway.Worst team we have played this season.

I think the source said that he was going to Norwich rather than us?

I actually wouldn't mind raiding Cardiff for one or two of their players. Medal, Caulker aren't bad.

I thought Naarch already had their manager or is he just an interim thing?

So source #2 maybe did get it 100% right then? I thought he only got it half right when Houghton/Hughton/Whatever got the arse as predicted.
Good stuff.

Re: Some juicy gossip...
Had an interesting message from a member, who wishes to remain anonymous, that Lambert has already been told by Lerner that he will be going at end of season. Seems the agreement in place is similar to that from end of McLeish's time at the club. Basically to stay, keep us up and we'll pay him out.
