Plus with all the cash we'd offer to replace Hernandez they could rebuild into a top 6 team.
Yes I would be gutted to see our captain and his deputy leave where would our on the pitch leadership come from?
I also understand that two such quality players deserve to be playing at the top level. I would send them on their way with a heavy heart and know that they did all they could last year to help the club in difficult times. It is difficult to fly like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys was a phrase I heard on another forum to describe these two.
Now what we definitely don't need is someone to continue the asset stripping and persuade 'Mr Aston Villa' Gabby to leave I think I would sulk for weeks?
Prem title guaranteed if they steal our Micah.
Definitely I would be on Betfred straight away and put 100quid on Hull for the title this year and the Champions League next year!!! I'm in the money!!

I'd really hope we'd make $100m at least from those players to make up for the shear loss. And how would we replace them with less than a week to go???
If we do lose them, we should use the funds to get Pique and Alves

If Walcott comes to us then i would be pleased, as long as his injury problems do not keep happening.mefromhere wrote:4BetLite wrote:I'm just gonna through this out there and see what ya'll got to say................

Yes, he hardly set the Championship alight with Reading. He's also a winger, only occasionally a striker (see Sinclair).

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Don't underestimate what a huge statement of intent someone of the calibre of the people mentioned above would be for us.
For such a marque signing to join a Championship side is a huge gamble. If Dr. T, delivers and its an international player, then they will be putting their place in that side in jeopardy.
Especially if you presume its a player dropping down a division or moving from a European top tier side.
Let's say we don't get promoted this year - where does that leave the players career (especially with next season being a WC season)
My point being that to entice a player at such a level, it has to be a great story from Dr. T and RDM - full of plans for the future and continued investment. To be honest, this really is the big news for me rather than who comes in.
The fact that we are now able to attract players. If we can get these type of players in the Championship - imagine who we could get in the Premier League.
Obviously, this all depends on who the mystery striker is. If it's Robson Kanu then ignore all the above.

E&S still reporting we're after Bas Dort even though Tony said different?
With some of the players mentioned does anyone think we will break the Championship record again for the fee paid?

Being linked to an Italian Midfielder Federico Vivani?? From Hellas Verona.
For all you fashionistas out in TBAR land we could have a midfield next month of Viviani, Westwood?

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Tony has just tweeted that the next signing has been done. Just awaiting the announcement.
What a difference between him and the Lerner/Fox days when they'd say there was an announcement at x o'clock and still couldn't do that right. This bloke just tweets that it's done and dusted.
Awesome communication so far!
EDIT: that's the power of the bed sheet folks.
