Definitely. I've seen quite a bit of Yedlin over here in the USA and he is probably as fast as Gabby was at his peak and has an amazing cross on him. That said, his defending needs work, but the Championship is about his level right now. I'd love it if we pulled this signing off.

Possibly due to the amount of abuse certain posters hurl the second someone post something they don't agree with.
Please don't try to victimize yourself, Joppe. We respect everyone's opinions here, but after a while your constant negativity and doommongering wears down on everyone else here. Whenever we lose a game, you flood this forum with posts of "this is the worst team EVER, we're fucked" and "[insert player who fucked up's name here] is the worst player I've seen of ALL TIME, why isn't he gone yet???". Whenever we sign a player, you always have something negative to say about them, usually "too old, too short, too shit, etc." While I don't agree with his actions, I'm not surprised to see another long time poster go off on you and get a lot of thanks for doing it. Whether you realize it or not, you rain on everyone else's parade here and after how terrible of a season last year and Randy's last 5 were, most of us really want to just get behind RDM and Dr. Xia without nitpicking every single thing that has gone wrong, especially when they're doing so many things right. That said, please continue to post and be as much of a miserable fuck as you want to be. Most of us here will continue to ignore you, but don't be surprised of some blow up at you again.
I'm not victimizing nothing. I'm simply putting forward the simple idea that it's possible to have different opinions without abusing people. It's not only moronic, but it hampers any football debate one could have. You don't agree? Fine, argue it.
Or maybe I should go the high intellectual way of Dan and calling you a twat for not agreeing with me. Then you have the usual suspects on here like Jim, Dan and what that likes each other posts constantly to get some kinda epeen forum boost going, and that's when they are not busy adressing other posters with abuse or digs. Like a facebook weirdo liking their own posts. Maybe they are lovers or something. Who knows.
Is that the same highly intellectual route you took when I had a dig at you?
KMitch is spot on with his post to be honest, you're constant negativity is what gets you a reaction... But maybe that's what you're after?

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Very interesting times isn't it at the mo
Yedlin i have no clue about so will trust the judgement of RDM on that one.
Looks like Bamford is off to Sunderland so we need a new Striker tagret.
Lescott is off to Rangers on 50k per week of which we will be paying 40k?
Adama wants out before he gets found out as not good enough for the Championship presumably?
We are after De Leat or Yedlin or some other RB so Hutton must be feeling a tad threatened
We are still after midfielders who can score
I think we are finding out more about Ayew too... and i just cannot see him being prolific regardless of the division he plays in as he seems to suffer from "scatterbrainfoot" when shooting. This means that regardless of how easy the chance he will miss most of them with bilateral shooting. It's like he is boss-eyed in his feet.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Yedlin would be a very interesting signing tbh and could be a very decent full-back for us for years to come. Lets remember Walker also was perceived to be a "poor defender" when he came to us but he progressed and is a totally different player today. Given a long run I could see Yedlin really doing well here. Him and Amavi would be really dangerous down the flanks I think.
People seem to think Amavi isn't a good defender himself but I remember him handling Marhez like no-one else last season so the potential is there.

Amavi is the best we've got in his position, but not nearly proving the quality that some people see in him. Not bad, but better getting forward than actual defending, in my opinion.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Found this from our former stand-in manager whose name I refuse to type.....
No wonder he failed so fucking badly if this is how he sees the world.
What a sugarbag
Villa's former assistant and caretaker manager Eric Black says Rangers will have a good professional on their hands if Lescott does sign.
'I think he will cope absolutely fine with life at Rangers,' said Black.
'That will be no problem for him at all. I've got to be honest, I don't see too much fazing him.
'Rangers are going to get a top professional, a top individual who is a very experienced and very capable defender.'
He's a guy who trains every day, a player who approaches every session as if it's his first. Joleon has such a brilliant appetite for the game. That will be obvious to anyone who works with him.
"And he's a good bloke. By that, I mean he's a leader in the dressing room. I found him great to work with at Villa."

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Shocking ay it we are paying loads of his wages and if Black the whack was correct in labelling Mr Klingon as a top professional then why won't he walk away on a free to sign for a club that wants him instead of leaching 80% wages from us to be arsed to leave to play for Rangers the runt!
Eric banana man Black is FOS!

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Is that 80% true or just a rumour?
I can't see it myself as they may as well just come to a pay off agreement with him or sack him.

I think Xia has confirmed it. Better than paying off his contract in full I suppose.
Delighted to get him away from the club either way. Absolute poison.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Delighted to see the back of Lescott irrespective of the make up of the deal.
Yedlin could be worth a shot if the 3 million fee is correct, I have a feeling that RDM may look to utilise a 3-5-2 set up for certain games as we have had very few links with out and out wingers.
The spine of the team is looking strong and seems we have some good characters in the dressing room. The secret to a successful season will need a team capable of grinding out results, handing out a few good hidings and some backs to the wall nail biting victories . Expecting a few more signings and exciting to see where it takes us

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
I've had a look on a few Rangers' forums to get their opinion on this.
From the start of the rumours, many of them were like "isn't he a bit of a wanker?" But once the move was confirmed it very quickly shifted to (to sum up every post I've read) "well of course, you'd be a wanker if your fans treated you the way Villa fans treated him. He'll be head and shoulders above everyone in this league and if he can clear the ball once he'll have my full support".
Fucking eejits.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
I don't think that league is fast enough to bother him. But if I was a Rangers fan, I'd have some very serious doubts as to why he'd not want to put in a shift for the club he supposedly supports, that paid him millions a year when they needed him the most but will put in an effort in some shit league for a club he has no affinity with in a frozen country where no one speaks words that are intelligible and for a fraction of what he WAS earning.

Oh come on Trotts, Black has played a blinder here. If he'd told the truth we would never have got rid of Lescott. As a football manager he makes Alan Wright look like an international basketball player, but as a salesman, the boy is a genius!!

From what i can find he only commented this on twitter...
"No. Sorry for that. We have agreed to cover part of his wage of the one year contract left."
I think the rest is speculation.
either way, its not my money and happy to see the back of him!

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
We signed Lescott about 5yrs too late, he has been a good player there is no doubting that, but I am glad he has gone.
Just heard Benteke has gone to Palace for £32m as well, I would of thought Benteke would be at a better level than them

Glad he is going there if it happens, will make him much easier to re-sign for us next year

Yea its hard to swallow, but you have to look at the big picture it gets him out of our club, so hes not stinking up the place, the fresh air will help revive the place.
