just gutted its been almost 22 hours and no new signings announced. maybe D. T. has altered our expectations a little too much.

unblock him, he's cool, just a crazy scandi with different views to most of us, that's what this forum needs for debate and such, abuse is ok both ways too as long as dont over step the mark.

Yep, I cant remember that far back either. There have been a few decent ones but you would have to go as far back as Dennis Mortimer for a real MF leader.

Right. Joppe has an alternative view to most. Yes it can be wearing and mean folks react - I've done the same in the past, but, let's try do it with humour if we can, or ignore. We all want as many folks posting on this forum as possible - a la Nick, but if we scare folks away that don't know the slagging off post is actually after months of the person reacting finally cracking at the build up of negativity over time, they are likely to think "Christ - that bloke only wrote a couple of negatives and got totally and publicly flamed, feck this, I'm not posting". Whereas actually in my experience new posters get a very warm welcome here, and it is - in the context of internet forums, a very tolerant and welcoming one.
So, can we leave the lid down, boil the fucking crab and all have white meat with crusty brown bread and mayo please Very Happy

isn't that part of the "joy" of being Villa fans - some are optimistic, some pessimistic... but at the end of the day we all have claret and blue running through the veins.

I'm really enjoying this transfer window - but I recall this time last year there was lots of optimism with all the new signings too (or at least until after the Bournemouth game)

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and the "leaders" we have bought in, make this a completely different window - but if we do sign another 4 or 5 players - making them gel is going to be vital.

As someone mentioned above - football is a team sport more than ever. 10 or 11 new signings might be great but we cant afford to wait long before they deliver on the pitch.
