Can't see it being this guy. Just reading he stepped down as chairman of the predators in 2010 due to a tax investigation.
I doubt he could raise the funds - and maybe this leak is an attempt (from Freeman) to attract other investors, as we are very close to being sold to someone else. ?

Can't find out much about this guy. I don't think he's particularly rich in football owner terms, he had to get together a bunch of investors to buy Nashville Predators.

This guy was interested last year, I really can not see this happening as he doesn't have the capital. Hollis would not put us in the hands of a person who had issues with the IRS, I can't even see Lerner going with this guy.

Even if this is all smoke & mirrors & in truth we've already been bought, I still don't think that the new owners would want it made formal & announced until the last game of the season was over - surely they wouldn't want to be directly associated with this miserable season. Better to shut the door on 2015/16 first & then come in with promises about the summer.

As smetro says Harry mate the deal looks close purely because this Freeman fella looks to be pleading for investment which shows he may believe the sale of our club is being finalised,

Just can't imagine Steve Hollis making a statement about a new owner he is close to selling us too will be taking us to the highest honours in europe with an investor like Freeman, i think he may have been in for us late on but too little too late see ya sucker

Personally I think the announcement should be before the game, imagine the atmosphere? There is a lot of information floating around, some more exciting than others. I honestly believe that Hollis and Lerner will do the right thing.

I also see it as it cant be a 2billion-3billion purchaser having stated they will be taking us to the highest honours in Europe as lerner is/was worth that and couldn't get us challenging.

He's recently invested 68 million in some Country and Western Radio station, so I don't think he's all that skint. But in football owner terms I'm guessing he falls short. He only bought the Nashville team, because one of the other investors exaggerated about how much they had, or at least that's what Freeman seems to be claiming. From the bits and pieces I'm seeing, I'm not really getting good vibes from the guy, actually looks like a bald Lerner to me.
