Fuck it. I am gonna put ten quid on 2-2
Grealish is lightweight and never puts a proper shift in. Struggle to see what the fuss is about with him.
Hes English. Thats about it.

We had a chance to get a point here, then we give them four free kicks, three corners and four throw ins. Why are the players on this team fucking stupid? They really are inbred fucking useless sugarbags

I hate Richardson. Worst Villa player I've seen in thirty years.

Awful, awful, awful footballer... We signed one of the best young left backs in Europe this summer, and he gets benched for Richardson???? No wonder our defense has been awful these past 3 matches...

They are worse than parks players, heres hoping RG cleans out the shite and gets us moving, one good thing was the spuds thought it was a stroll when we scored they paniced for a bit, they shouldn't have worried we are always there to make teams look good.

Gabby and Gestede aren't good enough to lead our line, Ayew is too selfish, and Kozak is MIA...
Our defense isn't bad, but it needs to be sorted out... Richards - Okore - Clark - Amavi needs to be our starting back line every game, and they need to learn to play together...

Gestede and Gil changed the game for us tonight. Yes we lost but it was much better with them on the pitch. Gave Ayew somebody to play off and it gave us an out ball from defence.
If the header from Gestede goes in we get something out of tonight. Small margins that hopefully Garde can get us on the right side of in future

Well for 75 minutes that was crap in its purest form. Glad Ayew got another, there's a player in there somewhere. Gestede was unlucky to see that header drop the wrong side. Gil ran it when he came on. That's about it as far as clutching for positives. As for the rest, worst start in our entire history- think that just about says it all.

3-1
Well, what did we learn from tonight?
I don't think the last decent 15 minutes should detract from the abject shit served up in the first 75. I'm not worried about the third for Spurs - we had to look for an equaliser so be it.
First off we were hamstrung from the start by a poor team selection - bereft of flair and based on damage limitation.
Guzan - slow to close down for their first goal, but actually did better as the game went on and I have to say his kicking was much improved.
Hutton - had his best spell when the team had their best spell, but see my previous comments in this thread about him - he screws his teammates by thinking he's Ronaldo.
Clark & Lescott - equally as bad - a study in panic.
Richardson - never pick this twat again - rubbish in defence, going forward even more shit. During the period where we had them rattled he tried 2 worldy passes that only needed a short pass slotting through and we'd have been clear.
Westy - did well until he went off.
Bacuna - makes too many fouls and incomplete passes - very guilty of giving away possession all night. Great shot mind that struck the post and started our promising 15 minutes.
Sanchez - Villa's MotM for me - broke up a lot of their attacks. NBC commentators were saying Spurs were lacklustre in midfield but I think that didn't give credit to the role he played in breaking up so many of their attacks.
Grealish - needs to start working and stop jogging. Suffered from a lack of ball to feet but even so, he needs to play himself into games better.
Gabby - shit on top of shit with a healthy dressing of more shit. Buy him and Richardson a nice little 2 seater sports car and send them off around Syria on a grand tour.
Sinclair - a winger averse to crossing, fuck my old boots - really? Yep, really. Crap.
Ayew, well I slagged him off earlier but he grew into the game and was tricky and hard for them to mark - cracking shot before the goal - in a team with more flair around him he will do well.
Gestede - had to feed off scraps but my god he had a chance to score when lloris flapped at a cross and missed.
Gil - almost MotM for me and that says something given the time he was on - an absolute class above the rest of the team, passing was visionary and incisive and his movement demands that he's a shoe-in for starting next week.
KMac - useless, hamstrung us from the start and should have put Gil on for Westy. Shit team selection and clueless - might be a "football man" but so was my granddad and I wouldn't have asked him to manage Villa.
Our away support - magnificent as ever.
Ref/linesman - didn't give us anything and an incorrect offside call robbed Sinclair of at least getting the ball back into play or even a corner.
Conclusion: Is there any hope? Yes, a little, and whilst the team were not good enough tonight, you could see what difference confidence makes - when we thought we could get back into the game we were first to everything, with some decent passing and much endeavour - just a shame it only lasted 10 minutes.
Is it enough? No, not with the players picked and KMac picking them, but, if we get the right blend and pick the right players, I don't know, maybe, just maybe, but I think we'll still fall short. Still not enough up front and it shows that without Richards we're not a defender short, we're a defence short. This is where I think we will ultimately lose the battle to stay in the Prem, we cannot defend.

Nothing we didn't already know and have known for a long time, Richardson is a liability and Gabby is finished. Any chance of turning this season around lays with the likes of Gil, Ayew, Veretout, and Amavi. I'm sure Garde will jettison Gabby and Richardson, probably Gestede also. Midfield has to be sorted somehow. Grealish simply isn't doing anywhere near enough to warrant his place currently, offering us nothing. I'd go with 4-2-3-1 from here on.
........................Guzan.....................
Hutton........Richards......Okore........Amavi
.................Gueye.......Sanchez..............
.......Bacuna........Gil.........Veretout.........
......................Ayew.........................
Come January we have to hope there's a couple of gems lined up to come in because we are short of quality.
