Without even pausing for breath we go again. I'm not just talking about the players and management, I mean us, the fans as well! We're less than 72 hours away from playing Spurs at White Hart Lane, and the nerves are starting to jangle again.

Will Sherwood magic some real attitude using his own Spurs connection as ammunition? Will a shaky Tottenham team suddenly start playing like we know they can?

It's got to be a totally battling performance by the Villa, nothing else will do. Can we get something out of this match, or will it be doom and gloom when Saturday evening comes?

I've voted for a draw, I'm starting to think that draws are really good!

A draw, but I don't think it's beyond realistic that we could see Sherwood get 3pts against a club who he has a point to prove against

Keep the same attacking philosophy but we need players in the backline that can defend and Guzan needs a rocket up him because he is been so poor of late.

Benteke's on fire, we need Gabby in the mood too as I suspect the only way we can beat them is to outscore Kane.

More confident about Man City to be honest. Spurs have become Man U-esque in my expectation levels of us getting points from them.

Depends who's available - injuries are the biggest influence on our games at the moment.

Let's hope that our rivals don't do what they did last week end. I think Spurs will have their arses kicked this week in training and will be well up for it on Saturday.

Spurs have been poor lately, and no doubt think this will be an easy win for them. All we need to do is isolate Kane, score more than them and keep a clean sheet if possible. Simples.

QPR won't beat Chelsea, won't happen, Mourinho won't let this title slip. And Burnley won't beat Arsenal in the form they're in. I also fancy Palace to beat Sunderland.

If we could get even just a point out of Spurs then it increases the gap.

Oh for a win in this one both for our sanity and also for TS! Can't see it though sadly they are a bit of a bogey team currently though this would be a great time to reap some revenge for some proper dirty tactics from them against us lately.

I've never liked Spurs, it's really pissing me off that we keep losing to them.

Even though we've taken some hammerings against them since, I still think the worst was under MON; they beat us 2-1 at home and standard procedure, we just kept playing it to Ashley Young to get in a cross, and they were singing, "One plan, you've only got one plan" - and I was getting so angry because they were bloody right, it was humiliating!

Actually, when they beat us 4-0 on boxing day in Lambert's first season, my dad got that angry that he had a stroke. So yeah, that's the worst one. Sorry, Dad.

Spurs piss me off.

I will never forgive spuds for the diabolical behaviour that got the beast sent off. Dirty cheating bstards. I hope we tonk em and get at least  one  of the wankers sent off in retribution.

Yep then there was the pulling shorts down incident which i still can't believe didn't get punished by the official, they are very keen on the dark arts of the game and for me it's long over due we got one back on them... Not saying i think we will but Benteke owes them one BIG time!

Spurs have better players than us, but they're not battlers. You never know!

I'm going for a win. Against Tottenham I think a win is well overdue for us. What might actually be really good is if we win, Hull win, and Sunderland win. Admittedly it makes it tight for us, but that would really knock the stuffing out of the bottom three and hopefully prevent them from really getting going.

I think a draw (I want to say win, but I'm convinced I curse us) Come on Timothy, weave a little magic and let's do this lot, we owe them a beating and we sure as hell need it.
