Great 3 points, shame about the sending off and more injuries

Surely it's good news that Sanchez now misses the semi final? Clark injury was a shame and surely he must be doubtful for next week now but what a win to send us to Wembley with!
Can't believe we were never tested down the wings because I'm sure we couldn't have coped but to be fair Bacuna put a great cross in and Richardson was always willing to go forward. Vlaar held it all together well and it all clicked again up front with Benteke and Gabby having a great partnership building.
Now we just have to pray we can keep the big man for next season!

Yesssssssss how good was that? We won and we deserved to win. Well done Tim and well done you villa boys, woohoo!!
I hope Clark is ok, he deserves a Wembley match, as for Sanchez, he didn't 'take one for the team' (as I've read lots on Twitter) that's when there are no other options left. Rose was in his own half and sanchez was reckless and stupid, he could have stopped his run with half a brain and a decent tackle. Blessing in disguise if Westwood is fit, as that big Wembley pitch doesn't allow for slack possession and giving the ball away.
Anyway, let's celebrate 3 MASSIVE points towards safety and with other results (and Burnley currently losing) Safety is looking a lot more likely now....I think we can breath a little easier now UTV

That was an awesome result for Villa and full credit to Sherwood for sticking to the same team from midweek (as I thought it was the wrong decision)!
At least Sherwood has Villa playing with a bit of pride again, its been missing for far too long!

I've just browsed a couple of Spur's forums, the hate is palpable and the language is vile. Thank God for the sanity of TBAR. Cheers you guys.

great performance.
Spurs overly dependent on a single player. this year it's Harry Kane.
same for us, of course.
it's great Benteke is back in form. looks like the world class player that would get into any team in the league again.
interesting comment from Sherwood in the interview with Lineker. says he's told him to conserve his energy and stay up front. we had noticed under Lambert he was dropping deep to collect the ball.
Sherwood was a striker. it's great to have a striker as a manager!

I don't mean to be an arse but you obviously never saw Sherwood play, he was a central midfielder dude, never played up front at all :)Con wrote:great performance.

What a difference a win makes, we all feel on top of the world, NOW they just need to keep it up. You can bet your life the Arsenal & Liverpool fans think they are going to the final, its up to us to show them different.

Have a look at the table with no league match next week and Man City away up next. The three points yesterday were unbelievably important!
