Aren't QPR like completely bollocksed if they go down, something to do with FFP breaches in the championship? I can see Fernandez taking it to court if they do indeed face a trip to the bottom of the pyramid.

I think it's because the FFP limits outside of the EPL are a lot lower and QPR financially cannot fall within them if they get relegated. The league threatened them with fines basically matching how much over FFP they fall (which will be something ridiculous like £30m)

I'm not 100% sure but I was under the impression that them being promoted at the end of last season was the problem with FFP. I honestly can't remember why.

As I understand it we're not looking to bring in a DoF who will impact on football matters, that's Lambert's area of responsibility. It seem's we're looking for a sporting manager who will oversee the peripherals such as sports science, physical conditioning, psychology etc. etc.

I wonder how the new manager situation will affect this now.

Could be that we have still have someone on the way, could be that there is a new job description attached to this, could be that we're scrapping the idea altogether.
