The first comment on this was: Chris Nicholls and Micky Lyons I think. Probably something prior to the 1977 League Cup Final, where they were respective captains. The game of course went to two replays before it was settled.
1905 FA Cup Final. Villa v Newcastle.
There are lots of amazing old photos on there. We'll worth a look.
