Re: 2014-15 Fixtures
If it had said Newcastle away on Boxing Day with a noon kick off, it might have had a ring of truth about it.

Re: 2014-15 Fixtures
I'm going to guess that either Boxing Day or New Year's Day will be away at somewhere impossible to get to by public transport. Last season it was Sunderland away NY day and the season before Swansea away.

We have an awful boxing day record don't we? Without looking it up I'd say we have won about 3 in 10, losing about 5

First 5 games
1-Man Utd away
2- Arsenal away
3-Chelsea Home
4-Liverpool away
5-Man City home.
Call me a bloody optimist if you like.

I'll settle for that tbh, at least it would get the 5 hardest games out of the way leaving just the return fixtures to worry about, last season I wasn't bothered with us facing Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool in the first three games either.

Swansea away Boxing Day. May be they'd like to make that a mid day kick off.

What is it with the fixtures putting us against so many of the top 4 in one fell swoop, was the same last year as well....

Something about Swansea away at that time of year, again.

Re: 2014-15 Fixtures
I'd say it's important to try and get at least 6-7 points on the board before we face them big 5 games in a row, get off to a bad start then it could look very bleak by the time we face QPR, getting 6-7 points from the first 3 games should give us immense confidence before that horror 5 game stretch before the QPR game, UTV SOTC.

Re: 2014-15 Fixtures
Not to be negative, but the May fixtures look ok if we are still scraping for points then )or trying to push on) whatever way you look at it.
